Perhaps the BCS should start making the major bowls a bit more accessible to the small conferences. I already think (and feel its teams have proved) that the MAC deserves an auto-bid, esp. if they added another bowl to the BCS empire. Either that, or make it easier for them to get into a middle bowl. There's no reason that probably only two out of Miami OH, Bowling Green, NIU and Toledo will get a bowl bid at all, and even at that it's something like the vaunted and prestigious Motor City Bowl.
If I coached at a school like TCU, I would schedule nothing but shit either, because one loss and you're suddenly praying to play in the GMAC bowl. It's the only way to have a shot. Are they a top 6 team? Hell no. But I am pulling for them all the way.
