this is not a good team. however, army is terrible. army loses games by an avg margin of 28 ? correct me if i am wrong. houston -10/11 seems to be a good play. advice or input welcomed.

Elvis,

In the last six weeks, the Black Knights have traveled to Tcu (lost, but covered), traveled to Louisville (lost, but covered), hosted EAST CAROLINA (lost/no cover by the hook), then traveled to Cincinnatti (lost, but covered), traveled again to Ala-Birm (lost, but covered), then most recently, they traveled half way across the country to play Air Force (lost, but covered).

That's a whole lot of travelin'. The Black Knights have to be weary.

Besides being tired, I'll tell ya' somepin else interesting....

Army has covered all of their road games but one. At home, they are 0-4-1 against the number.

Fatigue plus a series of poor home performances coupled to playing a good Houston team who has just lost 3 consecutive games vs very tough opposition makes me think Army is in for a very long day.

Houston -11'

first half

first half

Houston has a way of surprising teams with all the different formations they use. This is a fun team to watch and a difficult team to prepare for.

I have watched a lot of college football and to see the different formations used almost back to back is impressive and tends to confuse defenses. (i.e. wishbone, spread, bunch wide, ace slot, etc. )

I like Houston (-6 first half) BIG!

Another point is that Houston would become bowl elgible with 1 more win. With UAB and Lousville the only games left on the slate, I tihnk they will focus on getting a win here against woeful Army.

Houston wins this 1 easily

thanks for the stats/advice. i really thought that army failed to cover against af ? anyway they are typically catching a big number, but this week they catch less than two td's. my only worry is this may be army's last home game, and these kids have a lot of heart. almost feel guilty betting against soon to be soldiers. but this is business.

Forgot to add 11th straight game with no time to heal up so if they have injuries tough to get better with game every week

Hudson Valley area.....NY
on paper the Coogs look like a lock.Only -11 over one of the worst teams in the nation.Headlines in our local paper is"ARMY's QB's dueling".....Nevels vs Dahman. One can't throw but can run.One can't run or pass. But the one who can run[Nevels]last week got to play.He lost 2 fumbles, rushed 4 times for minus yds vs Air force.Dahman need 7 more interceptions to equal his total completions to guys that wear the "black and gold".
But Dahman last yr vs Houston had 355 yds and 4 Td's.Unfortunalty Dahman has gotten worst.Last week he threw 9-27 for 63 yds and 2 ints to the Falcons.
Coogs offense could blow away the Nites. But trends and past haunt the Coogs vs the cadets.Coogs last yr won 56-42.At Army the yr before lost 14-28.They are 1-4 ats vs the Nites.

Army has covered but did lose the cover vs AF.
I'm going to play Houston -11 for a small play.Coogs have sizzled out from great start. But just maybe they explode on offense here.Army will score on Coog defense though.
