The terrorists wouldn't be there if it wasn't for us invading.

Yep, they'd be somewhere else. But like cockroaches, not gone.

They'd probably be up your :moon:

Maybe so Nosigar but wouldn't it make more sense to invade the governments that are supporting and sending them? Do you really think that they think blowing up Iraqies puts more fear in the average American, than blowing up something here. Remember they are supposed to be terrorists. Please explain how the fact that we are in Iraq prevents them from blowing up something here?

StevieD I know you did not ask me but my answer is simple. Any excuse thought off has to be used as to why were Iraq to start with. You are correct the real problem makers we leave off the hook. And we are not safier now then before. If we have nothing happen over next 10 years then we can all breath easier. Remember these folks never seem to be in a hurry. There last two big events here in USA were 10 years apart. We have proved nothing in Iraq. Other then what we new to start with. It's a screwed up place, and still is. There Army forces were like the flint stones.
And we were all to be in fear of this bunch of idiots. The real terroist were never there to start with. So we took a mess and made it a bigger mess. God I hope it wasn't just for the oil.

yeah, the prez(along with Sr. and Jeb) will be here, a block away at about 3pm. I'm looking out the window now and see 4 state trooper cars and 4 (almost certainly) Secret Service guys standing around at the entrance to the road where he'll be coming in. I'm sure there are a ton more a little down the road where I can't see. A nice little 2500 buck a pop at a private residence(mansion). The owner of WCI Communities'(a very large developer of high end houses here in florida) house will be the setting. They're expecting about 200 people. Should be a nice quick 500k for the ol' boy.

I'd like to attend so I could go over some of his policies with him. I think he would be very receptive to my thoughts, comments and ideas, but the idea of contributing to their campaign disturbs me a little. If they would only agree to give my money to a charity or something, I would be able to alter some of these disastrous policies that they are cramming down our throats and likely change the course of history. I would probably be the most popular person at the event, actually, after they thought about it rationally.

Air Force One didn't end up landing until about 5:05 and he got to the house at about 5:25. He left the house at 7pm and left the city at about 7:30. I was trying to leave at around 5, as I assumed he was already here. Nope. And they had all arteries into and out of the community locked up. So I got far enough along that I couldn't do a u-turn and got locked in. Had no choice but to wait with the 2 or 3 hundred people standing along the main road. It was quite a scene when the motorcade came by, but I got a lot of strange looks from the crowd (and 1 death threat) when I yelled out to GW (who was waving out the window of the second limo), 'YOU BETTER FU*KING GET RID OF RUMMY AND CHENEY'.

I talked to somebody who was at the fundraiser and he said the head count ended up being around 800, not 200, as I was previously told was expected . So about 2 million for two hours. Somebody mentioned that this is a Florida record for presidential 'one shot' fundraisers.

I really need to rethink my city of residence.

Dogs, this guys house would go for about 12 million. Don't lump me in with that sort of dough. I might not live in a shack, but there are all sorts of residences in that community that span the whole spectrum. In fact, my pad barely goes for half that. :)
