why are the totals for the st johns game off so much. 63.5 first half but137 for game. Is this normal in college hoops and if so is there any stratagy for maybe over in the half and under in the game. Anyone ever toyed with this?

thanks in advance

Cuz, at the end of the game they love to foul and put up another 20 points in the final 2-3 minutes :D

understand what yall are saying but stiil do not see why they would acount for fouling and such in college and not the pros. Why are pro totals equal. They foul at the end of games just like college. Not saying you are wrong I just do not understand the logic behind it, one would think there is more parity in pro sports hense closer games and more fouls at the end, but I dont know.

Thanks Guys

Not sure of the logic behind it, but it's based on actual results.

Isn't 1Q in NBA usually the highest scoring? Not so in College.

That said, Vegas' formula for 1H Totals that I described above is the same for all College games: so if you can find a team that does better in 1H or 2H for some reason or other then you have a play.

uga:

not to oversimplify it, but heres your reason:

college kids foul like crazy at the ends of games, even when game is out of reach

pros will normally quit fouling after game gets out of reach and accept the loss and move on to the next game in the 82-game schedule.

also, bonus/penalty rules are different for the pros. once youre in the bonus, you stay in the bonus the whole half. pros get a fresh foul slate at the beggining of the 4th. first foul in last two minutes also takes away some FTs.
