really thought i could get the 3-0 moneyline sweep last sunday with washington, jacksonville, and buffalo. cowboys were just a little better and played field position football in the 2h to hang on. no complaints at all though with hitting 2 of those 3 on the moneyline.

played these two already, and MIGHT add one more (if i do, it would be green bay but think i can get a better price as week progresses. gonna mull it over)

washington moneyline (+240) over carolina
new york giants moneyline (+160) over philly

washington.......gonna come back with washington this week as well. carolina off a big win and now has a lot of breathing room in the nfc south. theyre a full 3 games ahead of everyone else and own all the tiebreakers. i dont expect to see the panthers best performance. they played well the week following the first tampa upset, but this ones a little different. that rematch might have been carolinas biggest game in years. ostensibly, washington could be considered an uninspiring foe. but i think theyre a live dog with their backs against the wall. and carolina is in a sandwich spot. off a big game with the bucs and a big game with dallas on deck. skins catch em napping.

giants.......philly win on monday nigth simply camouflages the fact that their offense aint doin a damn thing right now. easy to think the giants will mail it in sans shockey but this team always plays their best football when their back is against the wall. also worth noting that the giants really dominated the first meeting before their special teams implosion late in the 4th quarter to allow the punt return. fassel and co. get revenge here and keep hope alive.

Good luck gman.

I considered Washington to be a possible overlook situation too, til I realized this is Stephen Davis' first crack at his old team. He's only one guy, and I am not a huge believer in these things...but it may be enough of a factor that they at least have their heads in the game. What do you think?

GM:

valid point. personally, im of the belief that its a little more applicable in basketball, since one player can have greater control of a game, and that player can play both ends of the court. in football, he doesnt touch the ball every play and cant stop the opposing team from scoring when the D is on the field. but youre right, it IS, something worth noting. davis doesnt appear to be one of spurriers biggest fans. no doubt all the pregame shows will hype up the davis v. spurrier, but it shouldnt have any significant impact imo. think washington hangs in regardless. the sandwich spot is just the clincher.

I was leaning with the Skin's tomarrow also. No doubt they can cover that 6, but even and outright win looks good as well. They might be overlooking this game a bit, because Wash. isn't that great. But who knows with Spurrier. He can come up with some clever stuff.

Good luck!!:)

like one, hate the other

like one, hate the other

redskins have a shot because carolina always plays it close to the vest.

giants will be missing schockey and maybe hilliard. i can see barber fumbling in a key spot against opportunistic eagles D.

good luck on your plays.

adding a chalk to my moneyline dog thread :D

1 unit.....cleveland (-5) (-103) over arizona

definitely a gut feeling kind of play on the clowns. normally i would never back them as home favorites. they have enough trouble winning straight up on the lakefront, but i think they take on the challenge today. lots of negative publicity for them this week (green's suspension....the release of johnson). fact of the matter is that the browns can get back into the afc north race with a win, as the other 3 teams all have stiff tests (baltimore vs. miami, pitt vs. frisco, cincy vs. kansas city). obviously they need to cover this spread of 5, but for some reason i think the browns rally around all the bullsh1t and finally have a convincing win. sh1t will really hit the fan in cleveland if they have a clunker vs arizona. not a pretty play, but feel they get it done.

pretty strong 2h play for me.

1.5 units....miami (-2.5) (-120)

if wright can lead this team to an outright win in miami, ill be real impressed. dolphins should win ugly in the 2h.

one drive away from having a phenomenal day. instead, made just a few bucks. no complaints. redskins played hard. just couldnt pull it off. no regrets on moneyline instead of spread. gotta lay it out there sometimes.

adjusted YTD nfl:
8-10 (+1.20 units)

will be adding a 1.5 play on detroit in the 2h - as long as the line is "pick" or better. dont want to lay anything with em. hoping score stays 21-7 or 24-7 at worst

WHY??

Seattle has 276 total yards--to Detroit 101

Seattle has 100 yards on the ground--Detroit has 5

Seattle is 5 of 7 on 3rd down--Detroit 0-3

Punts Detroit 3--average 34 yrds---Seattle 1 punt 61 yards

Seattle has 4 guys with a catch with at least 11 yards and 2 guys with catches over 20 yards/ Doesn't seem to me that this will change much 2nd half.

well forget detroit in a dog role. they'll probably be laying a point or two at this point (35-7). gonna pass.

innvation:

i dont cap that way. im watching the game. i know seattle is dominating, but theyll be more than content to pound alexander in the 2h and move on to the next week. detroit gonna be a short 2h chalk imo, so i will end up passing

i understand what your saying but, Alexander is running all over them even if they pound the ball--he has 12 rushes for92 yards, more importantly Detroit has no running game going and can not convert on 3rd down. How can they move the chains. I think Seattle is a play in the 2nd half. Sure they may get conservative, but i think they can run the ball methodically down the field.

innavation:

alexander is dominating because hasselbeck is throwing the ball so well. detroit has no clue if seattle's running or passing. hawks are running offense to perfection. alexander is tough enough to stop when you know hes coming. hes impossible to stop if you gotta think pass and run and then react to the quarterback. i dont see seattle putting it in the air very much in the 2h. detroit will load the box. i feel like the lions will play not to get blown out. and with this being a sort of homecoming for harrington, wouldnt surprise me to see detroit get a garbage touchdown or two. but what you said it definitely correct- alexander is dominating, but seattle will willingly become more one-dimensional and seattle will work a lot of clock. we'll see.
