Are "mug shots" a matter of public record and/or available to the general public?

I'm asking because back in January, I good friend of mine was arrested for driving without a license and spent some time in the slammer until I bailed her out. I think it would be great to get her mug shot and have it framed for a Christmas gift.

If it matters, she was detained in a city jail.

Thanks!

I think you can get them but not without some hassle.

Do you really think that would make a good christmas gift for your friend ? No one wants to be reminded of that picture in a frame yet.

Where is your head ?

Man rethink that and get her some perfume.

Scott,

Her arrest could have been avoided if she just flashed her tits for the arresting officer;). She was headed to a party and was definitely dressed to impress!

Oh, I'll get her something more traditional, but a little "reminder" of her arrest might keep the little bitch in her place.

Joe this is regular Gene here AKA GENO, I am not sure some people understand sarcastic humor, but I do and you obviously know the situation better than anyone on this forum. I also don't think you asked for a reccommendation on what gift to get, YOU asked for the ability to procur a particular piece of legal public record.

Eddie Haskell would be more qualified to answer this question than Scott or I.

Bottom line if the situation warrants the special reminder of the occasion than by all means GO FOR IT !

Geno,

Ya hit the nail on the head.
This woman just loves to bust my chops. She's the typical sarcastic, materialistic, my-shit-don't stink, I'll take ya for every dime you got type woman every man tries to avoid! But, hey, I LIKE her!! She knows how to play the game, even though she knows she ain't foolin' anybody. And she LOVES to go out drinking!!.
As far as the mug shot goes, she'd be the first to do it to me if the situation was reversed. All I wanna know is how one goes about obtaining them. The less hassle the better.

OK all you got to do is go down to the city jail.

When you get there slug the first cop that you see.

When they fingerprint you and take your mug shot , slip the person who takes the pictures 20 bucks to get a copy of your
friends picture.

That way you can frame them side by side.

good luck

Joe:

I have no idea as your gift idea is rather novel (but I like your thinking). Call the county clerks office in Orange County and ask for the criminal clerk. He outta know.
