Hofstra +17 over Ga Tech
Hof had a real close game with Marist on the road.I think this team will make some noise in the Colonial conf this yr.Adel-Key didn't play very well vs marist the other nite.He did have 16 pts and 13 bds but looked lost at times.Gibson had 16 pts in the paint but he's got to step up or all his shots to the basket will be in row 4 when 7'0 Scitenscher gets a hold of them.Walker was the star.After being out a yr he worked on an outside shot.Damn..he hit 5-9 tre's.Rivera impressed me.This frosh can shoot,pass and dribble.No To's.Benching Souffrant for him made Soul..come off the bench for 8 assits.Washington the other gd hit the jumper to win the game.
GT has BJ who dominated La-Laf.Lewis was off but he is solid.Add Jack and thats 3 solid gds for GT.Schenscher is 7'1 and takes up some inside.Brooks also can score.Muhammed looked good too.
Hof needs to stay out of foul trouble.They have no depth in the frontline.Adeleke needs to step up tonite and dominate the bds.
Hof def. scares me.They trapped marist and left Ellerbee open 5 times.He hit all 5 uncontested 3's. BJ and Lewis are drooling at the tape.
Hof cannot hit FT's.They couldn't hit them in Poughkeepsie the other nite .They ain't hitting them in Atlanta either.
Ga Tech is a good home team play.They were 13-2 at home with and ats 8-3.Hof was 2-11 away and 4-7-1 ats.The yr before 1-11 and 3-9 ats.
But I'll take the +17 and pray for some better FT shooting.

Nova +11 over Temple
It's the midnite game.Crazy,crazy on all the in fighting.Cheney vs Wright.With all the injuries and suspensions this game is a toss up.Any game thats a toss getting double digits is a gift.
Nova's gds are intack.Ray and Foyle.But Nardi the St Pats,NJ pt gd makes his debut.He can play.And will penetrate the Temple matchup.losing Sumpter will hurt>Frazier is out too.But not due to AT&T.
Temple lost Wesby and Polk to grad..Throw in Butler who is injured.Hawkins is there star.Collins solid and Blackshear at 6'6 will shine.Salisbury can shoot from all over.but this team is all new and playing together for the 1st time.
Temple is one of those teams to be careful with at home.They were 10-5,10-4 and 9-4 overall the past 3 yrs.But there ats was 6-9,7-7 and 5-8.
Meanwhile Nova under Wright can't win on the road.He is 3-8 and 2-8 but 6-5 and 5-5 ats.I'm grabbing these pts.

I'm going to add the under 130.Sumpter I don't think he plays.He needs him in Hawaii. TV exposure.
The closer it gets to game time the more I don't feel confident in Nova.And of course the game doesn't start for another 6 hours.
I'll stick to my Cats.Nardi is going to really help Nova at the pt.Everyone pressed the Nova gds the past 2 or 3 yrs.

Lester..nice job last nite..I always liked Hofstra.A few yrs back my team had to play the Long Island champion in the state quarterfinals. They were also the state defending champions.Win this one and you make the NY Final Four in Glen Falls.
We are playing an undefeated team,at Hofstra which is in this teams backyard.We have 2 Long Island refs,LI crowd,etc.
We're up 68-67 with 11 seconds and the other team has the ball on the baseline.We are in a 2-3 zone.If I lose,I lose by a jumper.The LI player fakes my foward and drives baseline.He meets my post player who goes outside to help.But he doesn't want to foul[because at the time out before I'm screaming,no foul,no foul,brillant coaching on my part] The LI player is at the block uncontested for a winning layup.But a kid by the name of Ralphie Rivera,my 5'5 pt gd had dropped down from his gd position for help side.He positioned himself right in the path of the LI player driving.Bammmmm... Big Red, one of the top officials in the state blew that whistle.When I saw him put his hand behind his head...I knew we got the charge. They fouled on the inbound.We hit the both ends of the 1-1 and won by 3.
I love Hofstra,the campus,the gym.
I always think about Ralphie.He went back to the city and no one has heard from him in 10 yrs.I wonder if he thinks of that game when he hears the namel Hofstra....I always do
