I would really appreciate it if you could give me a brief write-up why you like Western Michigan. I never bet against USC in football but in hoops its fair game. This years USC squad lacks height and is starting out the year little banged up but everyone should play. USC also will be starting a true frosh. USC is very athletic but nobody is a pure shooter. USC also does not open well on the road on very first game. Also USC tends to foul a lot and USC shoots horrible from the free throw line. This team might need time to gell. I know Western Michigan lost their best player, but return 4 starters and have quality depth. Does Western Michigan have big home court advantage? Fill me in?

FIGHT ON!!!!!!!!!!

Western Michigan is one of the better teams in the MAC. They are much like the Miami Heat. They concentrate more on defense then offense. This Western team was the best defensive teams in the MAC, and one of the best perimeter defensive squads in the nation last year.

One thing Western is getting back this year that they didnt have last year is Ben Reed. Reed was injured all season long last year, on and off. This guy IMO will be up for MAC player of the year.

I dont think Desmon Farmer is gonna be as successful as some people think against this Bronco defense. Plus, playing at these MAC Arenas isnt cupcake stuff. The gyms are smaller, which equal to more noise...not saying its gonna be an Arizona crowd...but its not what they might think.

good luck

adding...

Marshall +2.5

Marshall +130

Marshall should be favored to win the MAC East rather then Miami. They have loads of talent, and 2 ACC transfers playing for them. This is gift!

Buffalo -1.5

Canisus has no experience at all. Buffalo has their key players returning; Turner Battle, BJ Walker, and Mike Bortz. They played tough last year - and lost a handful of games within 10 seconds! This line is way off

I don't know much about Western Michigan, but I think USC will be better than expected this year, so I will stay away.

But, thanks for pointing me toward Marshall. That is definitely a play for me today. Folks are talking about the loss of Blizzard at UNC-W, which is huge loss, but they also lost Callahan (16 pts, 7 reb) and Burnette (11 ppg) and I think they are overvalued at this point in the season. Good luck.

100% agree. USC is gonna surprise some people this year and along w/ UofA, Stanford, Oregon, and CAL; USC will be dancing in March.

If he liked Western Michigan at +1, i think he would like them at -1. Or does he expect a 1pt win from W. Michigan? If he did, then why make it a play?
