Well, this is the big one, 100th meeting, Big Ten title (and much more for OSU) on the line. Tressel going for three in a row. Navarre playing for his legacy at UM. On paper, UM is a better team , but we all know that means squat in these types of games. That said, a few numbers that stick out in my mind:
10-0: Lloyd Carr's record against top ten opponents in Michigan Stadium (13-3 overall)
0-1: OSU's record in ranked opponents' stadiums in '02-'03.
15-1: Carr's record against ranked Big Ten foes, in Michigan Stadium.
6: PPG UM is allowing at home this year.
The two plays for this one:
UM -300 15x
I can't see Michigan losing this game at home (in C-bus it would be a whole different story), but I also can't bring myself to lay 7 points in this series.
OSU UNDER 17 points 7x
All the talk this week has been about the OSU defense, with good reason. They are great. But don't underestimate the UM D. Athletes abound, and the best pass D in the country. I think they are feeling overlooked here, and they will be VERY fired up. If the UM O and special teams don't put them in a bad spot, I can't see OSU scoring more than 10.
GL all, except Buckeye backers :thefinger
