Scheduling Genious is what this is. The eve of a major American holiday, most people stay "in" tonight, prime time ESPN nationally televised game that features Coach Larry Brown returning to the City that "doesn't appreciate what he did for the franchise" all the hype has brought some value down upon us and is basically telling us to just pick a winner. The marketing for this game has been great with Around the Horn opening up the show with a Brown segment, ESPN News has been sure to remind us that this game is on tonight often throughout the day. You've got Larry Brown the Mentor returning to town to face two proteges in Ayers and Iverson. And it seems people are eating the marketing right up and going with the "Teacher versus Students" approach with the line coming down to more earthly levels.
I think this is a game that both Iverson and Snow can control the offensively and defensively with Hamilton pulling up a little gimpy as of late with a neck strain/stiff neck. It will be a great game with a playoff-like atmosphere and you bet all the Philly Boo-birds will be out in full effect unappreciatively. This is a combination of a fade play, Philly has really dominated this series at home, Iverson will be at his best tonight after reading comments about this game he is really up for this one, and I think the matchups(Wallace aside)are really even. Although all the ATS stats and trends point to Detroit I will stick it out with the Sixers tonight for 2 UNITS. It definately is a tough spot to bet the Sixers but I really like the play.
