Well CG... this wouldn't be the first time we disagree. I don't care how long "y'all" been doing this. You haven't been here. You've been posting here just over a year. I'm not trying to tell anyone how it has to be or how to wager, but it's pretty funny to read thru the entire 100 or so posts every nite and find about 5 with any analysis. If everyone posting in this forum is so damn smart and experienced, then why aren't they sharing that wisdom??? It's easy to post,
LAKERS -6.5 FIRST HALF HUGE!!!!!!! 20000 STAR LOCK
But why??? Why is this game so great??? Can you tell me??? Maybe I'm the idiot... maybe the way to win at this is to blindly follow whoever registers for a name and posts a few of these far fetched plays and I would be better off. Personally, I think not.
Look, I don't care what anyone else thinks to be honest. I do my own thing my way and have been doing it here successfully for over 3 seasons. This past week I've gone like 17-5 or something for a gain of almost 20 Units. I have my record listed in the PENALTY BOX at nearly +30 Units on over 100 plays. I don't need anyone else's opinion to form my plays, I play what I think regardless.
My point is and has always been, our common goal should be to provide each other with as much information as possible to give each of us the optimal chance of capping the game our way correctly, or at least to the greatest advantage. We have people from all over the world in here and you can't tell me there isn't someone in here without connections to find things out. It's sad in my opinion that no one takes this as serious as they should. If you're putting up your hard earned money on something, I would like to think one would have at least taken some initiative to analyze that investment to some degree. Do I take this too seriously?? Perhaps I do.... I take a lot of pride in my work regardless of what it is, and I'm not afraid to let someone know how I think a game will go. Sometimes I'm right, other times I'm not, but the bottom line is, I know WHY I did something at the end of the day. I also like to believe I'm right more than I'm wrong.
Two games this week had a top player from a team go down in FH with nothing reported to the thread. I personally find that irresponsible and selfish if someone knew that and didn't reveal it. I made BIG plays on both games that the hurt player never returned, and lost both. I didn't notice the stats soon enough to realize my error, but if it had been reported, I would have played differently I'm sure. Unfortunately, I was not given that opportunity. Maybe you oldtimers have a way of watching 4 games at once and knowing all there is about all four. I don't. I need to watch games more closely and I think I've proven that when I can concentrate on a game or two, I'm much more successful.
I try to gain as much insight into each game as possible because if someone tails my play and puts their money on it, I want them to know why, whether I'm right or wrong, at least they can decide if they agree or disagree with my logic. Without information being posted on each game, we are all at he mercy of website stats and the few moments we get to view each game of a large card during the FH. Add in the end of early games we've already wagered on and are near the number and how much time is really spent watching the FH of these games???
I've posted over and over about the JAZZ/OVER 2H angle on their home games for weeks now. YET, every nite I see people going against them and trying to beat the trend. I rarely have anyone say "great call" or "you nailed it" when it hits. It's like it pisses people off that I got the win, when they lost. Well, some things in gambling are not rocket science. This is the nature of this team and I'll continue playing it til it posts a losing nite without regard to stats. IF UTAH is behind or tied, it becomes a HUGE play for me. Another is the LAKERS.... I did at least three writeups this week regarding LA and missing SHAQ and how it favors the FH cover and OVER in the game. I've followed this team since 1972. I have watched every game they have played almost for the past five years. I have a very good feel for this team and also the CLIPPERS. But yet, I post those plays and it's like nobody notices. I feel like I'm wasting my time, and I probably am.
Since all I seem to do around here is piss people off because I like to explain myself, I'll do everyone a favor and depart. Maybe for good, but at least for awhile... Good luck to all... hope you all the best.... and this time, don't worry....
I won't bother to explain
