2 units......fresno state (-2.5) over santa clara
this is the only "definite" that i played overnight. normally not one for road chalk, but this one is a fair price and i think fresno controls this game. i know its early in the season, but this is a real tough spot for the broncos. clara played 3 games in 3 nights in maui (november 24th,25th,26th) and now comes back home to play on the 29th. 4th game in 6 nights is tough for a professional team; for a mid-major, i cant see santa clara being real sharp. fresno has played once this year and they were a game opponent on a very tough oregon home court. ducks got the 13 point win, but worth noting that oregon nailed 14 of 27 from behind the arc. that ended up being the main difference, as fresno matched oregon in almost every other category.

waiting for better lines on a couple games, specifically cleveland state and wofford.

cleveland st 38 15.64%

vikings actually taking care of the ball and hanging with carolina on the boards. not sure if i like this game finishing in the 80's but dammit if csu isnt playing with major balls right now. vikings almost got knocked out by the early carolina haymaker. really showed some nuts to fight back. duke/liberty fresh in my mind from last night. needless to say, still a loooooong way to go

looks like carolina closed the game on a 10-0 run to deny cleveland state the outright. SU win woulda done wonders for the program. looks like csu took a big step today though

santa clara now (-1) at olympic.
thats why i dont like playing fresno games strong. the line movement on their games is ridiculous  obviously moreso during the tarkanian era, but really cant figure this line out. even if im square for the night, cant find a reason to back santa clara in their 4th gm in 6 nights. if i miss this game, i wont be touching fresno again anytime soon. inexplicable line moves.

solid winner on csu, bad play on fresno.
bulldogs had their chances to pull away in the 2h, but its become apparent that fresno eschews guarding/defending the 3-pt shot. it killed them in oregon, and it killed em tonight. clara bombed 3s on em all 2h.

3 unit..........0-0 (------------)
2 unit.........2-1 (+1.8 units)
1 unit.........5-3 (+1.35 units)

good observation on fresno. i lost on them too 2h...
they should of easily beat santa clara, thats their coach lopes. collapsing defense taking away the paint and send all 5 to the boards. what does s.c. have inside??? if anything best 2 players are the guards...

johnnyb:

appreciate your insight. always enjoy trading info and ideas with someone like yourself whose basketball acumen is apparent. like you said, clara aint gonna beat you inside. the 3-ball killed fresno all night. every time fresno was ready to have a spurt, theyd give up a 3, which is deflating and stymies any sustained run.
