I am shocked by this line! St. Louis beat WVU by thirty last year and have 4 of 5 starters back. St. Louis plays ferociuous defense and WVU is playing some really young inexperienced guys. Hell, WVU has a true frosh at point and a transfer at center. WVU will be very good value once Big East play begins...but, right now they have not molded together yet. Please note this is NOT a home game for WVU...it is being played in Charleston WV....Me likey the points in this game.

this game has trap written all over it, if you're looking to take St. Louis that is.
i can't really get a feel for this game. both teams seem to be evenly matched as far as i can tell. a lot of guard play and not much production in the low post. billikens seem to lack a downlow presence in the paint, not much rebounding or shot blocking going on.
the schifino kid seems to be a stud for the mountaineers. he could be the difference in the game if he gets hot.
btw, that northeastern team that WVU lost to is a very talented team so don't let that loss fool you.

Felonious one, I agree with everything you said -- I grabbed this one at -4 about an hour ago and just LOVE it.....

It will be interesting to see how St. Louis transfer Reggie Bryant performs in his first start as a Billiken tonite. He?s a junior guard with a nice outside shot. He just finished serving three game suspension for phone card scam at Villanova. Gotta like the mustard element. He?s 6? 2? 205 pounds ? gained 15 pounds pumping weights during off season.
He played last in 2001-02 season, averaged 9.1 points and made 38.6 percent (54 of 140) of his 3-pointers for Nova.
Coach Brad Soderburg: "Whatever he learned is good, at least mechanically, because his shot looks really good," Soderberg said. "It's always on line and he really snaps that follow-through. He's one of the best shooters I've seen with guys in his face." Last week in practice Bryant "just absolutely took over our offense," according to Soderburg.
