thats how you win on the road. they didnt play from behind and they took the crowd out of the game early and never let osu have ANY spurts. thats whats most impressive. osu had ZERO legit spurts where you felt "this is where the game could get away from tech". just a very good win for them

big props to tech and their bettors. seriously. whether or not theyll be overvalued come acc time remains to be seen (they probably will)

but that doesnt matter one bit. they flat out manhandled osu tonight

(btw- tony stockman should be embarrassed. osu should put him on college-waivers and send him back to clemson)

Everything you said is accurate. That game was never in doubt. Also, Stockman didn't look good enough to play in the Big West, Big South, or Big Anus, let alone the Big 10. He blows.


Tech is the flavor of the month right now, but I still can't buy into a team with zero post presence. Shenscher is a stiff. They'll do well in pre-ACC play but will finish around .500 as usual.

my thoughts exactly gman.

the crowd was non-existent due to GTech's quick lead and it never got threatened. not sure the Bucks ever had 3 consecutive buckets...everytime they looked to make a run GTech answered.

i wish every game i take would go that smoothly.

great post, basically because you are dead on about stockman. ive known that kid since his high school days. his strengths and weaknesses have been the same for YEARS now. when he hits a few, he can get a nice spurt going. but he plays no defense and thinks hes better than he is

to his credit, he has become a better shooter than he used to be and even though im crackin on him, he is going to eventually be a pretty good player for ohio state.

but by and large -- he isnt nearly as good as HE HIMSELF thinks he is.

p.s. you sure you dont want him back?

LOL! I fell for this one hook, line and sinker. Nothing that I didnt know already happened in this game tonight. I knew Ohio State sucked, and I knew that Stockman is a lazy bastard. How many times did this guy get blown by in the paint for an easy bucket whether it be in the half court or transition. He is all about the big play....if he can look pretty scoring he is all for that, if he can get a big steal and dunk, he is all for that, but intensity and trying to defend someone on the perimeter....not his thing. I honestly have to believe that O'Brien did not do his homework before offering this guy a scholarship....this isnt his kind of player.

I thought the home crowd was dead....not that they had anything to be happy about, but they sucked too.

I guess my mistake was anticipating that the home crowd could get some motivation to Stockman, but I was dead wrong. My mistake....Oh well there will be other games out there.
