I will try and put this to bed once and for all.

I will apologise to Derek for the comments I made. There is no way (as everybody knows), that I know what Derek bets. I made a point of saying that it was unlikely that Derek had played such a spread bet at the posted ?100 per unit, where such a win/loss margin is unlimited. I stand by what I said, as I think this to be the case, but will apologise as I have no way of proving it. Derek may well have played this bet at ?200 a point. I will leave it to the average guy on the street to decide, wether somebody would play such a spread bet at such a huge unit stake. For having my own opinion, I will not apologise, but as I cannot prove this, I will hold my hands up.

As for putting up selections too late, I will also apologise for these comments. It was not only noticed by me, but also others that selections were being put on the community pages after gametime. Derek has already pointed out that we may have had to refresh the page in some instances, so there may lie a misunderstanding, where we may have been unable to view them, although Derek had actually posted the plays. Again this may well be the case, so I will hold my hands up and apologise.

As for the comments about me grabbing attention, is ridicolous. It is even more laughable that they are made by somebody who does not even use the whole site. I made the announcement, as I thought it would be unfair just to disappear, after having the support of so many people who use the Off The Wall forum over the past two years. I extended a invite to anybody who actually does want my rugby bets on a weekly basis to e-mail me, and I will add them to my mailing list.

I am not here for attention. I joined Madjacks in the first place, as it was a easy place to keep a accurate record of my rugby bets, as few of my accounts can keep these records for me. If anybody was to follow along then it would be a bonus. If I was after the attention, I would post my rugby bets on a UK site, where interest would be so much higher in rugby betting. The fact that people who did follow along were not using the same books as me, in most instances, was a bonus, and suited me as it did not affect the lines I was getting from my British books.

What I have learnt is that such minor comments or opinions made on a public forum can esclulate into something of this proportion, where I am being threatened with a law suit. For those reasons alone, I have decided that a person of my nature is not suited to posting on public forums, as I dont want to get into such a situation again.

Once again, I extend my apologies to Derek, and hope that he, as can I, and everybody else can get on with making a profit through gambling, which is the main purpose of the site in the first place.

Legal action

you have to be joking :tongue

and as for CTownguy........ya never heard of the guy because you've never gone in the "off the wall" forum....if Crooky was in NHL, NBA, NCAA or NFL he would be a god........the guy has an incredible record in Rugby (documented on Madjacks...go through his madjack posts you'll see). So get a friggen clue CTownguy, before ya say "Who is this guy"? Ya might want to actually look in ALL THE FORUMS :nono:

and by the way.........the "off the wall" forum is BY FAR the most profitable forum on madjacks......it's not even close to the other forums. And until this happened, everybody got along......none of that "Lock of the Century" crap in "off the wall"....

anyway.....sucks to see ya go Gareth.......ya got my e-mail...make sure ya fire off some e-mails to me every now and then. :)

and Pawa and Anders...totally agree with ya.

Finally.............Crooky has never, ever asked for attention......could you imagine the response if say some of the "North American Sports" regulars were threatened with legal action.......

Crookycymru (Gareth), your apologies are accepted. Stick your address in the mail to me and I will send you drink money for a Christmas and New Years drink on me and my family.

Can't meet up with you as in between moving home. Exchanged contracts Tuesday just gone, so it's start of pack up boxes time. As I said I don't want you to leave the site as you are a solid capper. That's not just posted here, I have said it to you in numerous e-mails between us over many months.

PD- is there a forum for you transvestites?

Should I be surprised that yet another attempt at humor has slipped through the cracks when it comes to you.

Why is it everytime you post, it somehow mentions alternative lifestyles?

I will tell you for the last time, I'm not interested in you & what you are trying to sell me.

Go ask daddy:rolleyes:

just my opinion, but lay off of ctownguy.

some "off the wall" guys get way too offended that the majority dont bet on rugby and snooker and shit like that.

im sure theres guys that do well in that forum.

fact remains that most people come to jack's for nfl/ncaa/mlb/nba

for whatever reason, that offends some non-united states posters.

im certainly not offended that some people hate american sports, and im think its safe to say that a lot of guys have never heard of me in off the wall.

the reason is obvious -- i couldnt care less about non-traditional sports.

i respect guys for making money in whatever fashion they choose.

its just a matter of preference.

guys in off-the-wall shouldnt get offended that the majority dont post there. its just the way it is.

the land of confusion
I guess it's just the 'smarter' gamblers that head on down there to boost their accounts

I for one 'prefer' to keep my bankroll growing at a healthier rate and would bet on two cockroaches running up a wall if someone can give me a winning rate consistantly in the 60+% range.

I guess thats just the way it is!!!

:D

gman......I have no problem with ya......I look at your insights into games all the time..........but the point I was making was he said "Who is this guy"? And if he looked at ALL the forums he'd know that crooky has been around for over 2 years.........it was a stupid comment, had nothing to do with "respect" just knowledge.

as for me........I don't get offended.....never have......but it would be nice if I could get 6000 views for my tennis like Anthony Richkas does :D :D :D

I will have to admit I have made some money from off the wall groupies, but the forums u would never catch me in is, horse racing, stock tips and golf, don't have a clue on any off them. But the Off the Wall guys overall are above .55 percent cappers which is better than NFL overall. These guys are few but know what they are doing. Just my 2 cents!!

GL GENTS!! Countinguy:)

I can attest to the profits that can be made in Off the Wall. Have followed Kickserv in tennis and the PawaExpress in Aussie football (which is fun to bet because it starts at like 11 or midnight here so it's a good way to kill time if you decide not to go out on a Friday night).

But I do need help with something. What on earth is snooker??

Thanks gman and to all the off the wall guys, the point of my post was only to point out my disdain for long announcements to leave for whatever reason.

If I offended any of you by one little phrase of "Who is the guy anyway" I apologize. As gman has explained no need to go into it.

But I would like to point out to kickserve I don't need to get a friggen clue to make a point. Just because I didn't know this guy's name doesn't mean I have to search every forum to make my point.

I'm glad some of you make money betting on racing cockroaches, just not my style.

Hope you all get rich on the sports you like.
