I will try and put this to bed once and for all.
I will apologise to Derek for the comments I made. There is no way (as everybody knows), that I know what Derek bets. I made a point of saying that it was unlikely that Derek had played such a spread bet at the posted ?100 per unit, where such a win/loss margin is unlimited. I stand by what I said, as I think this to be the case, but will apologise as I have no way of proving it. Derek may well have played this bet at ?200 a point. I will leave it to the average guy on the street to decide, wether somebody would play such a spread bet at such a huge unit stake. For having my own opinion, I will not apologise, but as I cannot prove this, I will hold my hands up.
As for putting up selections too late, I will also apologise for these comments. It was not only noticed by me, but also others that selections were being put on the community pages after gametime. Derek has already pointed out that we may have had to refresh the page in some instances, so there may lie a misunderstanding, where we may have been unable to view them, although Derek had actually posted the plays. Again this may well be the case, so I will hold my hands up and apologise.
As for the comments about me grabbing attention, is ridicolous. It is even more laughable that they are made by somebody who does not even use the whole site. I made the announcement, as I thought it would be unfair just to disappear, after having the support of so many people who use the Off The Wall forum over the past two years. I extended a invite to anybody who actually does want my rugby bets on a weekly basis to e-mail me, and I will add them to my mailing list.
I am not here for attention. I joined Madjacks in the first place, as it was a easy place to keep a accurate record of my rugby bets, as few of my accounts can keep these records for me. If anybody was to follow along then it would be a bonus. If I was after the attention, I would post my rugby bets on a UK site, where interest would be so much higher in rugby betting. The fact that people who did follow along were not using the same books as me, in most instances, was a bonus, and suited me as it did not affect the lines I was getting from my British books.
What I have learnt is that such minor comments or opinions made on a public forum can esclulate into something of this proportion, where I am being threatened with a law suit. For those reasons alone, I have decided that a person of my nature is not suited to posting on public forums, as I dont want to get into such a situation again.
Once again, I extend my apologies to Derek, and hope that he, as can I, and everybody else can get on with making a profit through gambling, which is the main purpose of the site in the first place.
