two strong ones for right now:
2.5 units.....bowling green (-3) over northwestern
2.0 units.....richmond (+16) over wake forest
hopefully bgsu can give me one win this week, lol. but this is a spot where falcons definitely undervalued. falcons with two road losses to mediocre bradley and lame-ass buffalo. but traditionally strong home court for bowling green coupled with northwestern being very subpar on the road. dakich really ripped into his team after the buffalo loss in almost lou holtz-fashion, inferring that northwestern could clobber his falcons on saturday afternoon. would be surprised if his guys dont respond with a solid effort. lewis has gotten off to a solid start for the falcons this year, but netter has been plagued by repeated foul trouble. once netter gets his head out of his ass, bowling green will be fine and theyll have a solid inside-out game.
as far as richmond goes, wakes been a covering machine out of the gate -- simply obliterating the vegas number. i think that creates an overlay, especially with a decent and capable richmond team coming to lawrence-joel on saturday. spiders played wake tough last year and i think wake might be a little flat here. after dropping 100 on indiana in the big 10/acc challenge, richmond might not be the most inspiring of opponents for a young wake team. just see the deacons holding a 9-13 point lead the entire game and never really beating the piss outta richmond at any point
more to come
