GREED:

Those non-conference schedules are made 5 years in advance. It is no fault of those teams when their foes have a down year. In the case of Oklahoma - and all of the larger conferences, Bama and UCLA are home at home series. Big conferences will not schedule another big conf. program without a return home visit. Bama by the way was played in Tuscaloosa. Fresno State was a late addition when another non-conf. foe backed out late. (Fresno State is no slouch as far as slouching cream-puffs go) If you look at most of the teams that you listed, they are scheduling teams in LARGE BCS conf. as well. (SEC, ACC, PAC-10, BIG 10)
In regards to the non-conference schedule, it is a tight rope that AD's have to walk. They have to schedule tough enough teams that will not hurt the strength of schedule, but not walk into an ambush. . . all the while doing this 5 years in advance. Notre Dame has one of the toughest schedules every year, but they bring that upon themselves being an independent.

As far as the original question, I've heard the inside trac is that many of the Sooner Fans. . . such as myself are taking a pass on the Big XII title game, in favor of the Sugar Bowl. (I'm not looking past K-State, or taking anything for granted, just had to choose one or the other, and went for broke) I think 60-40 is an accurate estimate. Wish I could be there, but I guess that 68 degrees and sunny will have to do!

I keep hearing that Oklahoma has the Sugar Bowl wrapped up even with a loss, so KSU is probably more motivated than Oklahoma is. That, in my opinion, is pure BS! Stoops has repeatedly, ever since he's been at OU, said how important the Big 12 title is for this team and Oklahoma. He's one prideful coach when it comes to the conference. Does anyone really think that OU will come out flat, chance losing to KSU and hope the computers decide OU still plays for the National Championship? Come on. Motivation is moot in Championships (especially National Championships) and it comes down to coaching and talent. OU has the best coach in the country, and this OU team will be providing the NFL with a boatload of players.

And before someone brings up last years' Natl Champ game and says Miami had more talent that OSU, take a look at the NFL rosters and check your work.

Bring back the real Schooner, OU rolls :firing:

I ALSO LIVE IN KC AND IT WILL BE A KST FAVORED CROWD. I WILL TELL YOU ALL RIGHT NOW THAT YOU DONT NEED THE POINTS. KST WILL WIN OUTRIGHT. OK SURVIVES ON THE BIG PLAYS AND THEY HAVE CONVERTED 65% OF 4TH DOWN PLAYS. THE BIG PLAYS WONT HAPPEN TONIGHT AS KST PULLS OFF THE UPSET. THEN WE CAN DELETE ALL THE TALK OF OU BEING THE "BEST TEAM EVER"

I LIVE 5 MILES FROM STADIUM. IT'S CURRENTLY 38 DEGREES AND WILL GET UPTO ABOUT 44 TODAY. LIGHT WINDS OF 10-15 FROM THE SOUTH. TEMP AT GAME TIME WILL BE ABOUT 35-37 WITH WINDS AT 10MPH FROM SOUTH. FIELD IS IN EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION, NATURAL GRASS, STADIUM WILL BE FULL OV 77,000+ FANS. ABOUT A 65/35 SPLIT IN KS FAVOR. HOWEVER ABOUT 10-15% OF FANS ARE JUST BIG 12 FANS READY TO SEE SOME FOOTBALL.

TOO MUCH HYPE ABOUT OKLAHOMA BEING THE BEST TEAM EVER. I DO THINK THEY ARE INCREDIBLE, BUT BILL SNYDER HAS HIS TEAM READY TO PLAY. THIS GAME IS BIGGER FOR K ST THEN THEIR BOWL GAME WILL BE AND OKLAHOMA STILL PLAYS FOR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP WITH A LOSS.

IT'S JUST THE WAY THE FOOTBALL GODS WORK. KST WINS THE GAME OUTRIGHT.;)

Bubba, where do you live. I live out by Longview Lake.

I think the DB's for KSU are going to be there downfall. They have been getting torched most of the year. I also agree with some that this is not Snyder's best team, and if OSU can contain Sproles, I think they cover the spread.

As Bubba stated, the weather will be no factor. Perfect day for football.
