nobody expected this rout; however it begs this question:
just like margin of victory doesnt matter for a winning team,
what does it matter if okie loses by 4 or 44?
computers would still pump them out as a top 2 team correct?

Look at ou's schedule. They have not beaten anyone other than Texas. OSU was a nice win, but it was at home. This whole thing is screwed. If LSU and U$C don't get to go to the Sugar Bowl, it is complete bullshit.
But as the numbers go, even if OSU is #3 in the 2 human polls, they will still be in the title game. You only get one full point for a loss in the BCS standings, so strictly speaking as the #s go, they will probably still make it into the title game.

I agree, I do not reward teams who lose 35-7 at the end of the year. BOTH USC and LSU improved as the year went on and now playing dominant football. Both did what they had to do today and OU choked. Also, if you cannot win your conference why should you have chance to win the title.

I think if I had a vote, I'd vote Kansas State # 3 ahead of Oklahoma. The way I look at ratings, it's who's the better team now, not two months ago.
Just look at the past. Any team that was going to the NC and lost their last game got booted. If Ok plays for #1 then LSU and USC gets screwed:bsflag :142hump:

terrible period. i am sick to think overrated university will get to the title game. BS. usc/lsu is the correct game at this point. however, tonights game screams for a playoff !!!!!! if oky can be destroyed by 28 and be rewarded for it i may not even WATCH THE GAME.
