Right or Wrong it is pretty clear now that OU will play LSU in New Orleans. From a betting view, this is fabulous. OU off getting routed, LSU at home looking unbeatable. Gonna be a very shaved line and a great money maker on OU imho.

I am hoping this is the case. I have a field future of field +1350 to win the Sugar Bowl minus Oklahoma & USC. I know no Oklahoma opponent will sniff that amount on the ML so I could just scalp this puppy & be content.
In addition, since we are looking ahead, I would think the USC line will be a little higher than it should be considering they have covered their last 8 games ATS AND everyone will think this team will be pissed playing Michigan and will whip them. I think Michigan has the balanced offense to score right with USC as there is no question USC will get their points.
I will tell you one other thing - bet against Texas in their bowl game the minute the line comes out.
I am virtually certain that Oklahoma will still play for it. Just dropping to number three in the polls (they won't pass Michigan) will not be enough to overcome being #1 in all 7 computer rankings.
It's going to be #1 Oklahoma vs. #2 LSU (BCS Rankings) #1 in both human polls, USC, is going to be left out.
Remember 2001? Nebraska got pounded by Colorado in its last game of the year, then played for the National Championship. It happens--that's what the magic of the BCS does for us. I certainly agree, as a normative matter, that it's wrong and USC deserves to play (I'd have them play Oklahoma) but I am pretty confident that this will be the result the BCS formula spits out.
