Good stuff guys. Yea, I cannot afford to go into that expensive area, it just isn't feasible. I'm trying to find somewhere where the business can remain somewhat brisk the rest of the year besides the summer time, but like you said, the places on the shore have short seasons, moving to those parts of NH sound more feasible. coastline is not necssary, I will check into that ski area. The key is, finding somewhere to buy a vacant lot that isn't going to break me, and an area where people will go to, and therefore go for a couple of drinks after they ski, or fish, or what have you, Location rules the day, without it you go out of business. Portland is kind of commercial and has tons of bars per blitz's post, so that is kind of tough. But, i always figured, if you run a good business and are people oriented and fair prices, you will prosper. People will always go out for drinks, and tourists especially when they're on vacation, no question about it. Bars staying open late is good too, a positive. The main bitch is going to be getting insurance for when some a$$ hole drinks and drives god forbid and sues me, but you gotta pray it does not happen, I'm curious if anyone here is in the bar business, but thats another issue. do you guys know approx. what the land and vacant lots etc go for and if there are any available in the aforementioned places? kittery is out, now gotta look at better places of value for my buck, just want a blue collar neighborhood where people like to drink, and tourism comes by for the winter months, That is the key IMO, Thanks guys, whatever else you come up with send it my way, I'm keeping a folder with all this stuff for the location, thanks
Michael
