There are 2 ways at looking at this game:

The first one: Browns stink this year, they are 4-8, got crushed last week against the Seahawks, are without their starting running back, and cut a key reciever a few weeks ago. It appears this team is in shambles(not to mention both Cleve Qb's are getting hit hard every week. The line is 5.5--it opened at 4--so the way i see it is all the value from St. Louis is gone at 5.5--does the high chalk line on Monday night football indicate a blowout, are they enticing dog action? or is the line a direct reflection based on their performance in recent weeks.

number 2: Browns may have a bad record, but these guys are professionals, they have skilled athletes, and on any day can beat any team. I'm sure the Coaching staff has prepared them well going into tonight, can they make plays. Defensively i think the browns are tough, yeah last week they got ate up, but they were on the road and the offense did not help out at all. They are good at getting pressure on the Quarterback causing sacks and rushed throws. They do create turnovers. They have a good d-line and some athletic backers. Make no mistake about it, Cleveland d will make St. Louis punt, and can cause turnovers going up against Bulger(who does not handle pressure well) I'm not making a case for this game to go under by any means, i'm just pointing out the fact that St. louis is not going to march up and down the field every possesion, or every other possesion for that matter. So the question is can Cleveland offense make plays, I think so, their red zone offense has been lackluster. But monday night football under the lights make bring out more focus and better plays down there.

SO which is it, is this line high because of a blowout, or is it the recent bad play of the Browns. I believe its the second one. Arizona has had some value this year at home with pricey lines for the road chalk. Is this the same situation? Has cleveland gave up? My answer, no. These guys will come to play tonight. I believe the browns have some talent on both sides of the ball, enough to cover the 5.5 at home with this being their playoff game. Browns +5.5 final play
