Democratic presidential front-runner Howard Dean has tapped former Clinton administration Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Susan Rice to be part of his foreign policy team, CBS News.com reported Monday ? despite Rice's reported role in bungling a 1996 offer from Sudan to hand over Osama bin Laden to the U.S. on a silver platter.

The scary part is that there is people out there that want this guy in charge of our National Security.

What foreign policy? I dont get how people can be in favor of something this guy hasnt said a word about. Near as I can figure, this guys middle name is "Isolationist." Scary as shit if you ask me.

I'm more shocked that his record in running Vermont hasnt become more of an issue, in fact, I dont remember hearing one thing about it. I grew up up there which is why I find it interesting that people arent hearing things like, taxes went up fivefold under his reign vs the rate of personal income increasing. Are the repubs keeping these things in their pocket?

He had his records sealed for 10 years . He replied at convention that he would unseal his when Bush did. When he was informed that Texas does not seal records and they are public knowledge and asked if that meant he'd be unsealing his
once again uh uh uh the hell you say.
This man is clueless about everything but has uncanny ability to shout,yell-run campaign on hate and collect donations from those
with equal disposition and mentality.

I think it is smart for Bush campaign not to dwell on his negatives-the moderate dems are doing ample job for him

almost as well as he's doing on himself.

His words of wisdom yesterday
"Sensitive to criticism that his foreign policy record is thin, Dean pledged to bolster U.S. troops, particularly terrorism-fighting special forces, and U.S. intelligence. He faulted Bush for failing to deal with North Korea, saying, "this president is responsible for the fact that North Korea has become a nuclear power."

Dean's campaign announced a list of prominent foreign affairs advisers, including Anthony Lake (search), national security adviser in the Clinton White House.

Dean team's first task will be to help the candidate smooth an uneven record on foreign policy. He has misspoken (calling Latin America a hemisphere), reversed course (he supported the North American Free Trade Agreement (search) as governor, but opposes it now) and has been careless with his rhetoric (he said the United States would not "take sides" in the Middle East, a slap to longtime ally Israel). "

Bush is responsible for North Korea having Nukes????? :D

Who was it that agreed to foot their bills with aid so they could use their funds to build nuclear arsenal.
But But But They promised Slick replied.
Does this clown think you develop nuclear power in a couple years--and then announces Lake who asisted Slick in this folly as security adviser. Just how fking stupid is this guy.
--and I am sure our troops will feel much safer knowing Lake was part of letting them drag our men thru the streets in Somolia and set them on fire and then retreat like a sheep killing dog with no reprecussion.

There is no policy at this time. It's what ever comes up that day or week. I mean Rummy says one thing. Then Rice another. Then Bush has to come out once a month and say here's what they ment. Then for kicks Powell cleans it all up with another slant.
even you guys are smart enough to see this.
Very interesting Sudan was going to turn over Bin in 96. Thats a new tale. And I wonder what we wanted him for then.
As for Korea same style deal will be worked out as before. We Might ask for two more inspections a year but that will be about all. Then it will be about trust again. When that deal is made are you all going to get all over Bushs ass for same style of deal made by Clinton. Something tells me you all will say greatest deal ever.
