Imaged tarnished? Has everyone forgotten he is "Broadway Joe " and put out a book titled something like "I Get Better Looking Every Day", advertised in women's nylons, etc. I called my mother to laugh at him before I even got online and saw these comments. Not making excuses for him because I do not care, but maybe some of you have forgotten his story.

Damn....I missed it.

Can someone fill me in on the context of the conversation? I'm guessing that Susie interviewed him down on the sidelines.

She was just asking Joe about the Jets' future. He was saying they'll be fine with Chad at QB. Then, he just kinda leaned in a bit and said, "I want to kiss you!". Suzy laughed it off and said, "I'll take that as a compliment." She asked another question and he says again, "I still wanna kiss you." She ends the interview pretty quick then.

They go to the booth and Theisman says, "Joe's a happy guy." Then Paul says, "Yeah, he's really happy!"

I thought I was gonna piss my pants. :D

Find someone with TIVO. It was great!

Funniest part was after the first "I wanna kiss you"
Then Suzie says "well back to the Jets future"
He replies "You know what, I could care less...blah blah...I still wanna kiss youuuuuuuuu." LMAO

Wow...I guess my "tarnished image" confused a few people out there....let me clarify... You must be older than me...I am 25. All I know about Joe Namath is that he is the best Jets QB in Jets history. I am not a Jets fan, so have never taken the time to learn anything else about him.

I see this drunk/retarded guy get on TV and act life a goon, and I think that when someone mentions him to me in the future....I am gonna say....''Who, that drunk/retarded guy?" So yea.....now I dont think of him as a great QB, I think of him as a drunk goof.

Not that that is a bad thing.....if he wants to be a drunk, thats fine, but man, stay off national TV when you are.

:142lmao: :142slap: , Well I guess you could say Joe Willey/Broadway Joe, was the best quarterback in Jets history, lol, hell he may have been one of the top 5-10 to EVER play. Look back on his history once he came into AFL, your too young to remember that also I guess, AFL, but that aside, He was a major force in changing the league and the game.
As for the name Broadway Joe, you truly would enjoy the history on how he earned the name, what we all saw at the game with him, was about what you would have seen most any time with Joe. Not saying I/We would have probably said the things he did, but what Joe would have told you/us back then and probably today is :thefinger , and kiss my moon1 .
That was Joe being Joe. Good luck today guys. Buck
