Bowl Record: 1-0 (+1.00)...will keep all my plays in this continous thread...

GMAC Bowl:

Miami Ohio -13.5 (-103)

This is another matchup of a team that has not been to a bowl game in a long time (1986) against a returning team that is now being hit hard with the Flu (that i had:( )....it sucked and takes over a week to get back to 100% from....these players need to be 100% to keep up with Roethlisberger and his aresenal of WR's....The MAC championship against BG really showed ME how good this team really was and how they will keep coming at any team no matter how much of a lead they have....truly feel that IF they have an early lead, they will not stop (ala Spurrier) and pound up the score! Also given the FACT that the Louisville D is 88th in the NATION!!!!

Louisville played in the GMAC last year and were beaten by Marshall 38-15....they have the experience in the Bowl games and especially this one, but you have a HUNGRY team in Miami wanting to show the world how really special this group led by Roethlisberger is.

Miami Ohio rolls IMO...would lean to UNDER as well..

projected score: 45-17

Kansas vs. NCSU:

First and foremost, remember this will be a biased opinion, so take this all with a grain of salt....

We will have a very explosive and fun game on Monday AFTERNOON (5:30) when the Jayhawks meet the WOLFPACK in the Tangerine Bowl...

some stats about the Jayhawks that are a vital to my plays:

Kansas gives up 400 yards and 28 points a game (roughly 200 of it on the ground)...this smells of trouble for then with the way Philip can lead the Pack and the way TA can control a game IF the O-Line is playing well.

The Jayhawks average nearly 30 points and 418 yards a game! With the way the Pack has played defense all year, i cannot see how the Jayhawks will not be around those numbers...

Kansas QB Whittemore is very lethal with his scrambling style and will cause a lot of havoc for the Pack Defense....

INJURY REPORT:
INJURIES--NC State: OG Ricky Fowler-Questionable, knee; OT Chris Colmer-Out, Parsonage Turner Syndrome; WR Sterling Hicks-Out, torn ACL; DE Renaldo Moses-Out, torn ACL & MCL; OG Ashley Wingate-Out, broken leg; DT Sheldon Lewin-out, unspecified disciplinary action; DT Alan Halloway-out, unspecified disciplinary action.

Harris Healthy: Guard Leroy Harris, who turned an ankle during Saturday's scrimmage at Carter-Finley Stadium, was expected to return to practice on Tuesday. When asked if back-up quarterback Jay Davis would get some snaps in the bowl game, Amato said "We're going to do everything we can to win this football game. Period."

Kansas: DT Travis Watkins-Questionable, broken foot.

The last time the Pack played in the Tangerine (2 years ago), they got spanked by Pitt 34-19!!...there will be quite a few players that will want to redeem themselves for the sad showing from 2 years ago...

This is the second meeting between NC State and Kansas. The Pack beat the Jayhawks 31-18 in the 1973 Liberty Bowl.

The Jayhawks haven't played football during the holidays since the 1995 Aloha Bowl.

I still believe the Leadership of Rivers will allow the Pack to prevail in this matchup of extremely high-octane offenses...

rolling with:

NC State -11 (-107)
Kansas/NCSU OVER 62.5 (-110) 2 Unit play (Best Bet)

glta and GO PACK!

I just hope Chuckie has a game plan to allow Rivers to take it to their a$$e$. TA may not be his self since it got caught drinking and driving :nono: , what a dumb a$$. If I was Chuckie, I would like for Rivers to throw for around 500 yards with 5 throwing touchdowns and at least one rushing. I think State wins by 17-21 points.

GO PACK!!!

I think TA is gonna have a HUGE day...Philip SHOULD be amazing as normal..I am sure Amato will have quite a few tricks up his sleeve (he also does in Bowl Games).....now if our defense could show up!!

Adding to Baltimore Bucs info on State players not playing today:

Kickoff Specialist Freshman John Derany will miss the game due to illness to his grandfather. He has gone back to Georgia to be with him. This young man could boot the ball into the back of the endzone EVERY TIME...he will be missed (but some things are more important than a game, and my heart goes out to his family at this time)

No offense to Golden, but our D plays better when he is not on the Field....all the players that were EXCUSED, were because of academics....

One thing i forgot to mention in my game analysis post:
Heard on the radio late last week:

Kansas offered FREE tickets to any students that wanted to go to the game, and only 15 students had signed up for the tickets...also heard reports that only rougly 3,000 Kansas supporters had confirmed coming to the game.

In a stadium that hold 70,000, they will be lucky to get 20,000 to the game....thank goodness for guaranteed ticket sales!

Do not know the # of Pack fans there, but i truly believe they will definitely outnumber the Jayhawk fans!

GO PACK!

ajoytoy,

Dont mean to clutter up your thread, but Im curious as to why you think the Pack will be motivated tonight? Do they really care about playing in the Tangerine Bowl after having high hopes for this season? Thanks in advance.

no problem txag!

always love questions about things i THINK i know!:)

i have been a Pack follower and supporter for over 15 years and let me tell you, this the best Senior class the Pack has had in those years..

yes, i am sure they are disappointed that they didnt get an elite bowl this year, but they have only themselves to blame on that front.

they never quit (at least under Philip in his 4 years) and regardless of score, they are class acts.

Kansas is tough to gauge since this will be thier first bowl game in over 8 years and their star QB was limited in play with injuries this year.

you can go with stats (i use a bit of 'em too;) ) and of course Kansas could be the play...

I am not jinxing my team by saying outright that they will win...i know i would not play them if i didn't think they could win and cover....i have always said that i cannot play against teams i root for...only play on them....can be a curse at times:shrug:

to go back to your question: Will they be motivated tonight? Sure think so....I mean, this is Philip and Jerricho's final game in a Pack jersey....they are on national TV....it is the only thing on TV at 5:30 (realized the game is early so people can still watch MNF tonight)....I would hope to think the team would like to end this season as winners and play "all-out"....Amato doesn't like to lose and will not let the team think they are playing for nothing here....there are many teams that did not even get a bowl game this year and they should be glad they were still good enough to receive an invitation (even though there are like 100 bowls games this year)...

bottom line: i will be at a local drinking establishment rooting for the Pack to win (and cover)....hopefully it will be high-scoring and in the end Philip gets a final W to add to his outstanding career as a college football player....gosh, i hope that happens for him and all of us Pack backers!!
