MNF PICK and a TRUE Brett Favre Story!!

I dont care if people believe this or not but I wanted to say it anyways. :)

Back in 1997 during March break two friends and I went down to Cancun for the March Break party. We went to Daddy O's and who was there?? Brett Favre and some of the offensive line like Frank Chumara, Frank Winters, some Coaches and his dad. Favre looked like a bump, with bermuda shorts which were ripped, a tight ass shit. The others in his party all dressed sharp.

So, to continue, I go up to Favre a little hammered may I add.. and offered to get him a drink. So, what does Brett do, he says nothing and gives me the finger. I was shocked. He was (still is) my favourite QB and I was just upset that he did that. Obviously, I am no one but I was upset. I recongized Frank Chumara and told him what happened.. and he said, go tell his Dad and pointed me to him. Sure enough, I did, I told him," Whats wrong with your son, hes such an a**hole, I ask him what he wants to drink and he tells gives me the finger... whats up with that". He tells me Brett likes Grapefruit and vodka so I went to the bar and got him a drink. My friends and I went with 5 girls down to Cancun. 2 of them are super hot.. so I took them both over to meet him. Sure enough he took the drink and started talking to the girls. Chumara wanted to take one friend and Brett wanted the other. To make a long story short, he was cool from that point. I left the club to go get my football which I got signed and got a picture with the girls and him.

SOOO.. my play tonight is dedicated to Bretts Dad.. I think Brett will play with fire and his team respects him enough to play the hardest game they ever did tonight.

I believe the story.

What I don't believe is that you actually got him the drink and brought the girls over to him after he flipped you off.

Favre is a alcoholic so I am surprised he would turn down a drink.
from anyone.

No excuse for that kind of behavior.

had the same type experiance with Warren Moon..

i walked up to him in the airport..
i said

"Mr. Moon, i dont want to bother you, i just wanted to shake your hand and tell you i think you are one hell of a hell of a football player"

he looked at me and my outstretched hand... then he said
"thanks" and leaned over to tie his shoe..

KOD. Daddy O's bar in Cancun is an all you can drink bar. I think it was $30US for the night. Speciality/imports were like $5US each. I am sure Brett could afford his drink but dont think he wanted some kid to get him a drink probably laced with draino or something. I was pretty happy even getting the finger from the guy. Truly didn't care much about that as long as I got a chance to talk to him. The girls we were with were cool. Only reason I took them along to meet Brett was so I could possibly get a word in :). In any case, it was something I have remembered for a while. I remember telling the story to everyone when I got back..

Worm, I really believed you were a good guy. With comments like that, I think your just a loser. So get a life and have take a pill will yah! I just wanted to tell the story considering what happened this weekend.. I have no need to make myself sound 'cool' or anything like that. I was pretty happy that day even getting the finger in all. In the end it worked out and Favre was pretty cool.

Gibber, I think some of these athletes get 'hey your great blah blah' so often it gets to their head. Really sad if you ask me considering its the fans who make them so popular. I though me getting the finger was bad, at least in the end I talked to him. Moon = goof.. but he was pretty good in his days..

I believe your story and think alot of these guys are asses. If I offered to buy someone a drink and he flipped me off I would have called him a f***in asshole. Whats wrong with him just saying no thanks. He probably would'nt have acted like that if he didnt have his friends with him. A lot of these guys think they are pretty tough when their crowd is with them but away from all their friends they're pussies. I met Cincinnati Reds pitcher Tom Browning once in a bar and started to tell him how great he was doing with the Reds and he acted like an asshole so we just started calling him and his friends big shots the rest of the night and they didnt want any trouble so they left. The coolest athlete I ever ran into was John Elway.....he just partied with the rest of us and had a great time. I was surprised he stayed married as long as he did because he was chasing every good looking woman in the bar.

I really hope you didn't say he sucks. I dont even have to go into it, im sure bigger Favre fans will tke care of this one, he is definatley the greatest QB we have seen since Marino, and one of hte top 7 all time IMO

My brother was in Europe a few summers ago and ran in Reggie Miller and his wife....crossed the street to say hello (since he was American and cause he knew who he was).....

so he gets over to Reggie and says hello, that he is American also and all that and Reggie just blows him off by saying "I'm on vacation":eek:

lost all respect for him after hearing that from my brother....totally classless....wasn't like my brother was trying to get anything from him, just wanted to say hi....

i don't know why anybody cares to talk to these guys, they are all overpaid and they make their money from dumbass people who think they are something special...wohoo so brett favre can throw a foootball and michael jordan can shoot a bball...i could care less if i saw these people at a bar...they aren't worth what they get paid and they are full of themselves...i hate to say this but they have arms and legs just like the rest of us..and most are head cases anyway
