Larry Ness Writeup:

Boise St is 52-11 SU and 41-17 ATS since 1999 and will be making its FOURTH bowl appearance in five years. The previous three bowls however, have been played at home on its famous 'blue turf' in the Humanitarian Bowl (three wins and ******!). Here they must play in the first-ever Fort Worth Bowl vs a TCU team that is playing in its SIXTH straight bowl and will playing in its home stadium! Despite an 11-1 mark and the home-field advantage, the Horned Frogs are double-digit underdogs. TCU flirted with BCS consideration this year but its 40-28 loss on 11/20 at Southern Miss ended all that! Boise's Ryan Dinwiddie is a GREAT QB (28 TD passes just 5 INTs in 2003 and a 77-18 ratio the last three years) but Boise was outgained by its four bowl opponents this year despite winning three of the four games (lone loss 26-24 at Ore St). Although they have no stars, TCU has one of the nation's most balanced attacks (201.7 ypg rushing / 222.2 ypg passing) and although the defense is not ranked No. 1 as it was in 2002, they are still pretty good and must be anxious to face Boise St's offense (43.7 ppg / 489.8 ypg)! It's rare that an 11-1 team playing on its home field is this big of an underdog and the feeling here is that the Horned Frogs have a lot to PROVE! Boise may have wished they had 'stayed home', after this one. Upset possible, so take the points!

10* TCU.

Big Al McMordie:

At 7:30 PM on December 23, we have a 5* play on the TCU Horned Frogs, as TCU falls into 1 of my best Bowl systems, which is 101-62 ATS since 1974. Also, the Horned Frogs have a MAJOR ADVANTAGE by virtue of playing this Bowl game in their own backyard. Since 1980, teams that play their Bowl game in their own city are 21-9 ATS, including an AWESOME 9-1 (90%) ATS if they're catching 2 or more points in the game. And if our home Bowler is off a win in its last game, then we can improve 9-1 to a 100% perfect 5-0 ATS. Take Texas Christian. Good luck, as always, and don't miss any of my College Bowl games, as I have the #1 documented record in the Bowls since 1992, and I'm 13-1-1 on my 5* Bowl plays coming into this 2003 campaign.

This is a premium member pick from Kennedy Sports.
His plays are rated 3*; 4*; 5*

NBA - 8:35 ET
L.A. Clippers vs. San Antonio Spurs

4 Units on Los Angeles Clippers +11 -110

Now I know San antonio is on fire but the Clippers are playing as a team now and for this clipper team getting 11 points I will take the points. They will stay inside the number tonight!

NBA - 10:05 ET
Memphis Grizzlies vs. Sacramento Kings

4 Stars SACRAMENTO over Memphis

?The Grizzlies are in a tough spot as they are playing their fourth game in five days and the second of back-to-back road games. Memphis is 4-16 ATS when playing the second of back-to-back road games and 4-16 ATS when playing the last game of at least a three game road trip. In addition, Memphis playing in the mile-high city last night and they are 0-6 ATS their last six after facing the Nuggets. The Grizzlies are improved but they are 0-4 ATS their last four when visiting a group 1 team failing to cover by an average of 13.0 ppg. The Kings are solid when facing a road-weary team as they are 9-2 ATS their last 11 when their opponent is playing in at least their third straight road
game. Sacramento does have Dallas next but they are 8-2 ATS before facing the Mavs so we can discount the look-ahead. Lay the points.

FORECAST: SACRAMENTO 114 Memphis 93

TUESDAY'S COLLEGE HOOPS

MEMPHIS SERVICE

Their Non-Conference Revenge Game of the Year is on Cincinnati (5-0 SU, 3-0 ATS at home).

They also have top-rated 3* plays on Missouri and Colorado, plus a 2* on BYU.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BOWL OPENING LOCK OF THE YEAR Boise - TCU

TULSA SERVICE

Their Bowl Opening Lock of the Year is a top-rated 3,000* play on Boise State.

They feel the Broncos simply have too much firepower for a TCU squad that's already been torched by strong passing attacks such as Tulane's, Houston's and Louisville's. Plus, they note the Horned Frog pass defense is ranked 92nd in the country among 117 Division 1A clubs with an average yield of 250 points a game.

They note Boise, with Ryan Dinwiddie (4,031 yards, 28 TDs) at the helm, averaged 44 points and 490 yards a game this season. And the Broncos, who have won and covered three straight bowl games, closed strong, going 6-1 ATS in their final seven games of the season.

As for TCU, they point out that the Frogs' ground game will face opposition from a Boise rushing defense holding backs to just 2.9 yards per carry.

HARTFORD SERVICE Ft. Worth Bowl Total

HARTFORD SERVICE

Their top-rated triple play is on Boise State-TCU to stay under with about 51 points to be scored.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1ST HALF NBA GAME OF THE YEAR

CHICAGO SERVICE

Their 1st-Half Game of the Year is on the T'Wolves, winners of five in a row SU and ATS, in revenge at New York.

They also have top-rated 3,000* plays on New Orleans (6-1 SU and ATS series' run) minus the points at Cleveland, and Sacramento (14-1 SU at home) in revenge at home against a tired Memphis team playing its third road game in four days.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Carlo "Iron Horse" Campanella

Both teams enter this Bowl with just one loss during the regular season. However, Boise State's offense will be too much for TCU to handle, as they're averaging 44 points per game this year. Boise State won their last game 45-28 against Hawaii and we find them at 13-1 ATS following a SU road win against a conference opponent. With all of that fire power, expect Boise State to take TCU out of their ball control style of winning.
