ytd:
3 unit....2-0 (+6.75 units)
2 unit....11-7 (+5.6 units)
1 unit....15-18 (-4.1 units)

2 units....pacific (+6) over san francisco
since getting ripped a new ass by st.joes, san francisco has put together a nice little 4-gm winning streak to get them to 7-4 overall. in their defense, they did start of the season with a ton of road games. once the dons got some home tilts, they played better basketball. that being said, i still dont think theyre a better team than pacific. tigers have been up and down so far. tough to figure them out. theyve had impressive performances vs duke and nevada. but then struggled with some garbage teams. this is a game that pacific should win though. theyve fared very well in their annual battle with san francisco (winning the last three meetings by 6, 3, and 18). if this game stays close (as expected), pacific holds an enormous edge in free throw shooting. frisco shoots em at brutal 63% clip. pacific shoots 77% from the line. thats a huge fundamental difference. tigers capable of getting the outright here.

add: 1 unit....cincinnati/dayton under 139.5

both teams have scored a lot of points on their opponents this year, but at the same time- both are well coached in their defensive principlies. pretty stingy and aggressive defenses on both sides (especially cincinnati's). throw in the fact that its a southern ohio rivalry game and im expecting this one to be a grind-it-out kind of game where possessions are valued and points are at a premium. both teams are a little below average from the line. expecting this one to be about 70-60 cincinnati win.

gman,

i don't follow baskets. but i have a friend visiting me from out of town. he visits me at least twice a year & not necessarily to see me or my wife. he comes here to play poker at the indian casinos that we have. he usually makes a few dimes per visit & i keep him company.we were sitting in a bar last night & started talking to somebody who also comes here for the same reason as my friend. he told us to make a bet on hofstra fort tues. nights basketball game.

i know it was around about way of asking you if you have any opinion on hofstra vs. st peters.

thanks

sorry for not being able to respond before the game. was out doing some christmas shopping. truthfully, i would not have had an opinion on that particular game anyways, as i have not capped a lot of st.petes nor hofstra this year. not sure why. neither team is on my radar for some reason. sorry
