BG -6.5 over Northwestern
BG offense loaded.Harris throws and runs with the ball.Pope is a solid runner.Magner excellent WR.Harris doesn't throw ints.BG has balanced attack scoring 29 passing TD's and 28 rushing.The spread offense will cause matchup problems all day.Defense has been up and down.Weakness may be the DB's and a good passing attack.
But Northwestern only runs the ball.They have a big OL and Wright is their top back.Passing is a weak point where they only threw 4 tds.BG should stuff the run and force NW to pass.
BG wins the comparitive scores with the Purdues,Ohio St, and Miami O's.
Harris is rated as one of the best college QB's.He should dominate today.NW doesn't belong in a bowl game and the players know it.BG is up for this because it's a respect game for the MAC vs the big bad Big-10.
Two yrs ago they played and BG made a 29 pt comeback to win by 1.Harris threw for almost 500 yds.He'll do the same today.
Va Tech-Cal
I'm leaning to Va Tech but their mental status has me worried.They folded at the end.Not sure if they want to be here.Meanwhile Cal is happy to be bowling.
Cal won 4 of their last 5 by beating Zona,Zona St,Wash,and Stanford.They lost to Oregon 21-17 away.
VT fell apart after the Pitt loss.They beat temple by 1,and then lose to BC and UVA.Then won 2 of their last 6 games.
Will wait until later tonite.
Am 3-2 in Bowl games.Lost the last two.
