public choices are gonna flame out on sunday. again, i understand games are mutually exclusive - but every single "need" team won saturday. id be more than surprised to see that continue on sunday as well. books gave away some free money on saturday. doubt the "need" teams will all be cashing sunday.

two teams that i think are worth a look tomorrow are detroit and pittsburgh. not sure if ill play either, but definitely like em both.

i just dont see the "need" teams running the table again on sunday. rarely happens, whether its football, basketball, or baseball.

YYZ - Your not kidding me. Although I came out ahead today, I feel like I got punched in the stomach in each of these games.

Agreed gman. I am not a big believer in teams coming up big in "must-win" situations. For one thing, if the team was solid in the first place, they would not be in that situation. The fact their backs are against the wall now tells you they've let opportunities to wrap things up slip by. Add to that inflated lines on these teams because everyone is piling on them, and it's just one more hurdle for them to clear. There are a TON of games with lines in the ~TD range this week, many more than usual.

Looking at Sat's games, I think only Seattle really fit the description of being in a "must-win" spot. While NE and Phil wanted to win, it was by no means critical. They've been winning all year, and this was no different....dominant teams, that dominated again today.

Teams giving up, on the other hand....THAT, I believe in. Lots of teams this time of year mailing it in, esp. if they are on the road.
