2-1 Saturday.It really annoys me up to hear various amatuers and professionals here make pronouncements about winning plays being "public" plays.Would you rather win or lose?Do you really think you're a wiseguy for picking a losing contrarian play?The idea is to win.It doesn't have to always be a contrarian play to win.A public play is a very popular,misguided,LOSING play,such as SF was today.The bettors couldn't get enough of the Niners today driving the line from an opening pick to SF-3 ,now thats a Public play.Starting the line at the pick was just asking for "the Public" to unload on the Niners,the smart money was on Seattle(not me,mind you,I lost on the total in part because of two missed short FGS.)Anyone who says it was "the Public" driving the NE and Phila lines up vs smart money doing so is the public themselves.They just didn't have the ability to see and pick the winning play.All the smart guys taking Blo and Washington today were suckers thinking 9 or 10 points would be enough.Their bankrolls are that much lighter now,taking teams that were down by double digits 2 minutes into the second QTR and that never even threatened to get back in it thereafter.But to comfort themselves that they are really smart guys,they call the winning side "the Public",just because enough people figured the game out to move the line signifigantly.You aren't the public if you win guys,correctly handicapping the games is the OBJECT of it all.Taking Jacksonville ML in the early games,they won't need the three points.Also Ariz+7-,over 46 SD/Oak,Baltimore-7-.More after some sleep.Gl either way
