CBS analyst Phil Simms, appearing on the network's "NFL Today" show, just advised viewers that Jake Plummer will not even dress for today's game.
The move is being made to keep Plummer healthy for the playoffs.
According to Simms, Jarious Jackson will start against the Packers in Plummer's absence.
And ESPN's Chris Berman just told NFL Countdown viewers that Rod Smith and Shannon Sharpe are also likely to spend considerable time watching from the sidelines.
