Tennessee team captain Kevin Burnett isn't feeling overly peachy about the disrespect the Clemson Tigers are showing his Volunteers.
But it sure will make for an interesting Peach Bowl on Friday.
"Clemson has been doing a lot of talking," the 6-foot-3, 235-pound linebacker told reporters. "I think they're going to be in for a shock when they see what kind of team they're going to play. I think, no, I know, we're going to play a very PO'ed football game
I don't know, maybe they're trying to put a hit out on themselves. I don't think they really believe they can win. They're talking themselves up, maybe trying to talk themselves into a win."
Burnett was responding to comments made by Clemson players in the last few days.
If we get real physical with (Tennessee), I think we'll have a pretty good game," Clemson's All-ACC linebacker Leroy Hill told reporters earlier in the week.
The junior leader Burnett slammed out 38 tackles and three sacks on the year and didn't like the idea of anyone making plans to push the Vols around.
"I can be this nice guy off the field and shake your hand, but if I hit you, you might just lay there for the rest of the game," Burnett shot back at Hill through reporters. "That's just how it is. I'm not going out there intentionally hurting anybody, but that's the game of football."
