I got the new Canon s50 for xmas. It is awesome as i am still learning how to use it. My question is this when i download the pics to my computer and attach them to say an email. they are always too big between 1500-3000 ks. How do i shrink the size of the pic to be attached or zip up the pics. Any ideas will help

I did the right click for Microsoft outlook. i chose mail rec. and it just attached the file automaticlly. There was never an option to define size... Do you let the original file attatch then do something or before the file is attached?

thanks highroller for your reply

You need a separate program to optimize jpegs.
I use Jasc Paint shop pro.

You also might try to use a program to format: deminsion.

Basically, you need to save them with a program, like acdsee of Jacs that will let you set the compression factor to make it smaller, (more compression) The thing to remember is that when you recompress it, you lose a little quality. Clue - deep secret - 99.99% of people wont see or care, experiment with them!!!
