rex, well i been away from all my favorite websites and only reading arizona republic & usa today. i actually like stanford as what zona is weak at cards are strong>>
deep bench
better frontline
i say all the points in this game!
as for ucla well call me a homer but huskies DO NOT PLAY defense! this year under howland the bruins do and i can see some heart in them too! but i'll be around all nite and will give it more thought.

thanks johnny...appreciate your thoughts...I am also leaning UCLA but still leaning heavily towards AZ....I know they arent deep but with a starting 5 like that and at the mchale center just think they want to send an early message to Stanford.....thanks again GOOD LUCK

rexy,
here are some west coast games i like but will pick about 3 of them tom.
wash st. -1 too much structure for bibby's impatient team.
zona st. -4.5 only if powe is out for cal.
fresno -8.5 they are due for breakout home win vs. lowly la tech
pacific -4.5 undefeated in league and cream is rising, similar to irvine but with good guard play.
fullerton +2.5 f. bron groomes is back and gives them a physical banger to compliment big center.
pepperdine -7.5 they shot poorly vs. zags but they get it done against pilots
utep +6 i know rice is good but utep will beat the smart kids...
stanford +4.5 would like more points but no way i play zona, these teams are like complete opposites... big strong deep vs. quick athletic & at home. for me the thing that sticks out is if outside shots are not falling for zona they struggle. cards play inside out to create space for their shooters.

like ucla (homer play, follow at own risk) line being basically pickem can't resist. also like santa barbara to cover the large number over a poor shooting idaho team.

rex,
thanks for acknowledgements...
i feel i really have a handle on mwest, wcc, pac-10, wac & big west. i'm not really playing big sky as not many cali teams involved. i'll still make alot of mistakes but i'm considering team styles, personnel, recent play to determine my plays. i knew stanford would be a winner on thursday nite against zona based purely on the fact stanford came out and smoked zona st. playing their game 1h. then 2h they got selfish and let zona st. back it. while arizona got an easy win over cal, and really didn't play good ball. cal held out super frosh powe because of a sore knee but if you read between lines coach braun knew with or without it was a loss vs. wildcats and saved him for zona st. thats where i made my mistake:
NOT REALIZING CAL WAS SURE THEY COULD WIN AGAINST SUN DEVILS!!!
i am not following stats or trends like earlier in season. wish i understood line movements as well as the top cappers at mj's but i just follow on those plays.
p.s. big reason fullerton lost tonite was starting shooting guard bolton is ineligible till later this week...
