wild card week 4-1 (+6.00 units)
2003 season overall 99-63-4 (+39.60 units)

strictly based on numbers, here's what i have against the early lines. like last week, three are dead on or within a point.

st louis -7' i have this line at 7
kc -3 i have this line at 2
philly -4.5 i have this line at 4

the off line is new england -6. i have this game at ne -3.

tenn only road team to win this past weekend.

funny how the philly/gb line reacted. 3' to 5 and now back to 4'. tells me something, but just not sure what:D

5 in football is a bad line in any game. usually means the linesmakers aren't sure what to do with the #. i have a feeling this line will settle in at 4.

lots to look at this week.

good luck to all:)

philly line

philly line

now up to 5.5

really surprised at the direction the philly line is going. i'll be at the game, and unless i can find good reason to play my birds or the total, it will be a pass.

of all the possible teams to play, gb is the team we didn't want to see.

they come to town with revenge and a strong back in green who ran for 190+ last game. run defense continues to struggle, and since then we lost carlos emmons in the sf game, who had become our best defensive player and leader the second half of the season.

regardless of how many doctors and second opinions westbrook gets, i can't see him playing. i'll guess we'll know for sure come wednesday, when teams have to announce, but even if he does suit up, i can't see him being too productive. a torn tricep... imagine any packer that would get a chance to tackle him or grab a hold of that in a pile-up. i'm ok w/o him in the backfield, buckhalter and staley can get the job done. staley's a horse of a back, who's just waiting for the chance at more carries. westbrook's absense concerns me more on special teams.

and then the weather. it will be very, very cold sunday night. would have preferred to play dallas or seattle instead of gb who's use to these conditions.

looks like vincent will play, it will be nice to have dawkins, taylor and him together again.

home field, the bye and reid's knowledge of favre will be a big advantage for the eagles. but right now i feel we need every adv. we can get.

look for the birds to go at al harris again. they know him and his tendencies well.

right now i like philly to win (obviously), but to cover a 5' or higher?...

It's great having the secondary back in place and like you say van, with staley and buckhalter both solid RB's, westbrook's absence should not be too significant if he doesn't start. Like philly to get it done in this game and cover the spread.

I wouldn't put too much stock in that, IMO Tenn was obviously the better team and you don't often see a 12-4 team going on the road in the playoffs to face a 10-6 team...

blitz,

i should eloborate more when i make a comment like that..."tenn only road team to win"

wasn't implying that they can win on the road this week because they did it last week. more of a reminder to myself that they are the only team that will be playing bb road games this weekend. which is a factor to me.

good luck to you.

ne -
ne/tenn under

gb + (won't play it - go birds)
gb/phi under

won't even come close to playing them all, probably make 3-5 plays all weekend.

st louis -7 3*

i haven't played a teaser all year, in fact it's been several years since i have. not a believer in them, but feel real strong that both home teams come out victorious today.

st louis pk/ne +1 1*

that's it for today, along with the ne under i already played.

good luck to all:)

3-2 this week (+3.80 units)

just got back from the birds game...whewwww...x's and o's aside, ats aside...i just have to say (up until the ot interception), brett favre scared the hell out of me. don't want to go up against him in that situation again. the guy's a flat out winner, clutch performer, and field general. i never felt good the whole game. i was hoping for one of those lob passes the entire game and i couldn't believe he threw it up in ot.

next thing...is there such a thing as a team of destiny??? birds have won games they shouldn't have all season. as long as it's my team i'll take it.

next week will be interesting. good luck to all.
