3-1 YTD NCAAB

Once again I rarely post, but I think this is a good one here even though almost everyone here, with the exception of T-Bone, likes the Hall tonight. Must be the persuading power of "Box and One", he certainly has enjoyed success in the Big East over the years, so no surprise.

My take on this game, however, is this: The Hall is certainly a talented team, but I feel Providence is every bit as talented, call it a wash. Seton Hall has now won the last 8 games by double-digits, including the last two on the road at LaSalle and St. John's. While that is very impressive, no doubt, the caliber of competition has been average at best. The thing those large victories does IMHO is make them all the less attractive here. That type of streak tends to sap line value over time and makes them a tad overvalued here. Now facing a squad on their playing field in terms of talent and ability, I have to think things will change tonight. After all, Providence has already proven to me that they can play well on the road with nice victories at Virginia and Richmond, not to mention playing Rutgers down to the wire last outing at the same place the #1 team in the land barely squeeked by. Maybe I am stepping in front of a freight train here, but I think the spot is right here to do so. I look for Providence to get a great road win here, but at the worst I see this one going down to the wire, making the 5.5 points really attractive.

Good Luck to All,

-JC

Thanks, fellas

Thanks, fellas

Thanks, Box and Lou. It was hard to go against ya Box, especially in an east coast game. You don't miss too many of those it seems. Anyway, this one played out just like I thought. Seton Hall was a bit overvalued here against a very good Providence team. Now 4-1 on NCAAB posts. Will post again whenever I run across another one I feel strongly about.

Good Luck to All,

-JC
