Checking player notes on the Denver Nuggets and it stated 'Carmelo Anthony has the flu but intends to play tonight, according to the Denver Post. '

This was last night against the Phoenix Suns. He played 34 minutes and had 13 points, not bad considering he had the flu. Did anyone see any ailing effects of the flu who watched the game - sluggish, off his game? I'm just curious since I'm considering taking the Nuggets over the Lakers tonight.

I watched the game since I had Den. If you hadn't told me I wouldn't have known. I'm trying to decide wheather or not the Lakers game is a set-up. See no reason for Den not to win.

I came across this note at USA Today's web site. Denver jumps out considering the loss of the big three for the Lakers and feel these teams are on opposite ends right now. Cleveland shot horrible against the Lakers and should have won or at least covered. This is the perfect time for teams to steal wins against the Lakers.

In reading a few articles this morning it seems Denver is saying all the right things in that the Lakers are still a lethal team, but you know deep down this team wants to take another win off of the Lakers. I expect a lot of hustle from the reserves on this Laker team, but it won't be enough tonight or at least it shouldn't.

Denver -2 looks like a nice play, but as we all know looks can be deceiving.
