well i told ya i would give a report when i got back from the world poker tour in tunica mississippi. played six tournaments @550. each with no places in the money, so i lost 3300.oo there. picked up 7960.oo in live action so am very happy to come home a 4660. winner. My unlucky hand of the week was a pair of jacks in the hole with 5 way action in a 50-100 hold em game. was raised three times before the flop and the flop came j,10,10, so i flopped top full house. after 3 more raises including my own on the button, a nine hit on the turn,j,10,10,9,. The river came a queen, and the small blind fired, a call, and i raised, and the small blind reraised. the other guy folded. i then thaught how unlucky i would have been if the other guy on this 3000. pot hit a two outer queen on me, but of course i called, and the small blind showed me a pair of tens for quad tens. ouchhhhhhhhhhhh. My best hand of the week was the 10,k, of hearts in a 10-25 pot limit hold"em game. The flop came after a 60. pre-flop raisethat saw 4 way action,10,and the k of clubs. a guy bet the 280. pot the second guy raised 600. the third guy folded, and i took some time but called the 880. not wanting tom risk any more money until i saw the turn and made sure a club did not hit the board knowing they would call probably on nut club draw. The original raiser then raised 1100. over the top of the second raise. The second raiser who made it 880. almost mucked his hand which made me believe he had ace, king. but he called.Wow what a decision! I think the two guy i have beat, because he took so much time to call, so i decided to call, and we now have over 6200. in the pot. Please NO CLUB. the turn, came the 3 of hearts, i believe a great card! He checked. the second guy checked, and kind of scared, i will admit it, i checked too. The river came a duece of diamonds, another great card. The first guy checked, so I believe he was on nut club draw, the second guy checked, so i believe i have him, so i make a modest bet of 500. at them. The first seat mucked his hand showing the Jack and Queen of clubs, meaning he put all that money in on a Royal Flush and open straight draw. the second guy called reluctantly, and showed a ace and king of diamonds, top pair ace kicker. and i took the stew with top two pair.Thank god that sometimes the worst hand going in does win. In this case a 7200. pot. That pot is what made me a winner this week, and a enjoyable story to bring back and share with all the card sharks on this site. Happy trails, ARROW.

Nicki, let me know when you do. I work at Harrah's. I'm the beverage supervisor there so I have time to chat with folks when they come in. Get my e-mail from jack and let me know when you are headed this way.

Cool - Keyser - don't usually go to Harrahs but wouldn't pass up an opportunity to meet another Madjacker :)

I will email jack :)

I understand the whole Harrah's thing, but it's always cool to put a face with a moniker when the opportunity presents itself.

tough beat on the jacks full.i play in a local pot limit game from time to time and it can be brutal.you are right in that the worst hand can win you the most money.i liken pot limit to trying to cross a pond as the ice is thawing.you have to be so careful.you can play great for 3 hours but in 5 minutes go busted in a big hand.tough game if you are playing with good players.i do not re-raise with jacks and will throw them away if certain players raise before the flop.
