Well, at least maybe the title will call Pete out, havent heard or seen from him in several weeks. Next Saturday is the last day to make picks, although I predicted all along he would wait until the last day and make 30 plays on that day, my prediction seems to becoming true. Hope they are good plays Pete because I am going forward, not backward as you had hoped.

Hey Ace-THE CONTEST DEADLINE IS THE SUPER BOWL, NOT NEXT SATURDAY. IT LOOKS BAD FOR THE CREW BUT WE'RE USED TO FACING ADVERSITY AND PREVAILING!!! LIKE I TOLD YOU, WE'VE BEEN PREOCCUPIED WITH THE ILLNESS OF ONE OF OUR MOTHERS!!! WE ARE FORMULATING A STRATEGY AND WE WILL BE MAKING OUR REMAINING 30 PICKS BEFORE THE SUPER BOWL. GOOD LUCK.

Sorry by next I mean the Saturday after this one coming, up my bad, the 31st. All picks had to be completed and graded by the Sunday morning we were both to leave for the party, otherwise we would have no way to know the winner as the checks were originally supposed to be awarded at the party. So to me, that means all picks must be made and graded Saturday January 31st unless there are some 1 am rugby games on Sunday you know about. But you know what, if you want to complain about that and tell me I'm wrong, and tell me this and that, you can have whatever you want in terms of a deadline if it makes you happy. OK? Again, its whatever you want but just tell me when your last picks will be made by so I can check and see the results, also so we are on the same page.

And I can virtually guarantee you wait until the last day or two for you and the crew to make all your picks but hey, I hope I'm wrong.

Thanks djv, although I'm smart enough not to count the money till its actually over and the check clears my account. Stranger things have happened, he still could go 22-8.

too bad Ace won't be ..able.. to pick up his winnings at the party...I would have bet on the Wrecking Crew rolling him out in Sunset's parking lot after the party for the 12 bones- head of security Senor will be too boxed up to fire straight

Oh you're not going to the party now. Sounds like your broad has you on a short leash. THAT'S NOT SURPRISING CONSIDERING SHE'S OUT MAKING A LIVING AND ALL YOU DO IS PLAY ON MADJACKS AND WHINE ABOUT NOT BEING ABLE TO AFFORD HEALTH INSURANCE. YOU BETTER REACH DOWN AND MAKE SURE YOUR BALLS ARE STILL THERE. IF THEY AREN'T CHECK HER JEWELRY BOX!!!!

LOL Ok well I've been working since last September Petey and am making barely less than she is as a 5th year attorney if its any of your business since you seem to be so worried about how I spend my money. I guess you are a little behind on the insult train. Or maybe you should worry less about the personal attacks and concentrate on how you got so far behind. Maybe you should worry more about how you are going to go 22-8 in order to catch up. Maybe you should worry more about:

acehistr8-2 +197.47
Private Petey -5,060.48

Remember what I said in the beginning, I'm bad at sprints but great at marathons. Maybe I'm not the one that needs to check if my balls are still there.

Dont worry PP, I will put your $600 to good use on a nice top line pool cue to use on our new table or maybe even a downpayment on a new car. Dont worry it will find a good new home.

May I suggest a very well designed Helmstetter with a Predator 314 shaft, I just happen to have one for sale ;)

What weight? If you have pictures of it, drop them to me in an email, let me know what you are asking. I looked at a couple of Cuetecs this weekend, nothings knocked my socks off yet.

Ace,

Here is a pic taken from their web-site, my digital camera is being "borrowed" by my brother-in-law. You would be much better off buying a new one than buying mine, I bought the Predator shaft and had it fitted to the cue stick and thus was much more expensive than buying one stock. I do like the new shaft, but not sure it was worth the extra money compared to the shaft that came with on it originally.

I will post a pic when I get my camera back, if you have any questions about cues I would be glad to offer some advice.

Thanks pf, I tried a couple heavy Cuetecs I liked this weekend and will probably get them from my local guy just because if he sells us the table he may throw in the cues. What do you think of the Thunderbolt, I tried a 21oz and it was really great.

Fine cues, many pro's using them now and not just for the endoesement money. About 2 years ago I had the chance to play Loree Jon Jones a few racks and nobody was really watching so she could use any cue she wanted and thats what she played with (while she kicked my ass).

Yeah it felt real solid, and I like the heavy cues better myself. Its just I have no reason to believe one 21 oz cue is better than the next at that price level - or if they are I dont know what to look for.
