PISTONS/TIMBERWOLVES Over 177 - The Pistons have had one of the stiffest defenses in the NBA for several years now, but they have still had trouble containing this Minnesota offense. The Timberwolves are averaging 97.8 points in the 6 head-to-head meetings since 2000, including a whopping 107.7 points per game in the last 3 meetings here in Minnesota! Needless to say, all 3 of those contests went easily Over, and the T-Wolves offense is actually better this season, as Sprewell gives them the penetrating scoring threat they lacked in recent years. The main reason this total is so low is that Detroit is allowing only 85.7 points per game on the road this season. However, this average jumps to 91.2 points when they visit Western Conference foes, and the combined total score in those non-conference road games of 181.9 points is nearly 5 points higher than this posted total.
