another day in a strange season. kept the strong chalk streak going. hit a rare dog as well. i feel like im capping backward, lol. gotta go with this dog for tuesday though:

----------------------------------------------------------
wright state (+3) over wisconsin-milwaukee
----------------------------------------------------------
uwm is playing outstanding ball right now, but this is a great situational spot for wright state to get their biggest win since joining the horizon league. on a neutral court and with ample time to prepare, uwm is the better team. but wsu is catching milwaukee at the right time. both teams are bringing in notable winning streaks (wsu 6 in a row, uwm 7 in a row) but this is the 4th game of a 4-gm road swing for milwaukee. theyve had double digit wins in the 1st 3 games of the trip, including an impressive thrashing of detroit. but wsu is a fundamentally sound defensive team and i think thats going to play a big role in this game. wsu is not gonna run with milwaukee. theyre gonna try and slow it up and keep it in the 60s. i dont see milwaukee winning a grind-it-out game. wright state has shown the ability to win close games this season. ive been a little skeptical of wsu this season; i felt they might be playing over their heads. to an extent, they are. but theyre doing the little things right. theyre knocking down their FTs and playing solid defense and keeping their turnovers down. got a chance to see the butler/wright game last saturday and i came away very impressed. theyre playing with confidence and daliboa is playing like a horizon league mvp candidate. even though uwm has been cruising on their road trip, i think wsu can take advantage of a well-traveled uwm in the half court and win this game. doesnt hurt that its wrights biggest game in the last half decade.
---------------------------------------------------------------
add: wright state 2h under 75
raiders will continue to walk the ball up the court.
game completely being played at their pace.
----------------------------------------------------------------
add: florida 2h over 75.5
game not a blowout, but still enough distance where
bama has to keep the tempo up. theyve got no
choice.

Good work my man... Doesn't the posted total of 147 shock you..? I was expecting high 130's low 140's... Seems quite high to me.. If the game goes over Wright St. should have a tough time..

if the game goes over, it means wright state loses, and probably by more than a few baskets.

milwaukee on the 4th game of a road trip and wsu trying to play at their tempo -- i dont see how its NOT playing in the mid to high 60s.

i think the number is set there because milwaukee has scored 80+ pts in 7 of their L9 games. but teams who force their tempo on milwaukee (like air force and santa clara) have fared well and kept the scores very low.

basically a battle of who can establish their tempo

Nuetral Site?

Nuetral Site?

Gman, I saw that you said this game was at a nuetral site. I was not aware of that - could you tell me where this game is being played at?

I think he was saying that IF UWM was rested and the game was on a neutral court they'd be the play. However they're on the last game of a 4 game roadie and they're on the road, therefore he likes Wright St. Good luck.

snake:

sorry for the confusion. looking back at my post, i can see how it could be misinterpreted. i meant to imply that IF the game was on a neutral court, and IF travel wasnt an issue, then uwm is probably better. but in THIS spot tonight (wsu at home and uwm playing 4th gm of road trip), i think wsu wins this.

Gman....

Gman....

For the 1st time in while of reading your post.....

I must respectfully whole heartedly disagree agree with you on this one. WSU is playing superb ball right now, but the still have trouble on offense. In there current 6 game win streak look whom they have played....Cleve ST, Detroit, Texas Pan Am, Loyola, UIC & Butler. Other than maybe UIC(i personally dont think so) none have an explosive offensive.

WSU seems to always go into extended scoring drougths vs oppenents...aka...the last 5 1/2 mins vs Butler last time out, if they do this tonight UWM wont be going on only 6-0 run like most of those offensively challenged teams did. UWM could put 15 & bury WSU. That fact that is the 4th road game is a concern, but this seems to be the Panthers year to me. I think they go into the Nutter, put a whooping on WSU & distantance themselves in the Horizon.

Good Luck

This Wright State team has completey shocked me this year. However,I just don't think they have enough offense to keep this game close. That is fine if they slow it down because the Panthers can play that game. Dylan page is a tough matchup for them because he can beat them inside or outside. UWM has three legitimate players that can score over 20 every game in MCcants, Tucker, and Page. However the biggest improvement in UWM has been defense and that is how they have been controlling tempo of the game. Air Force did shut them down but that was at the end of a very difficult stretch of road games and they were just physically drained. This UWM team is better than last years team and they dominated Wright State last year. Very confident team right now, I see them running away with this game.

Well, you certainly got your pace!

im kicking myself for not playing the under. now im half-tempted to play the under 75 for the 2h. looks like a sucker bet, but then again- maybe some just assume that since uwm averages almost 80 ppg that the pace will pick up. but wsu loves this pace and they will keep it at a crawl if they have to.

actually, im gonna do it.

add: wright state 2h under 75. this game aint gonna open up in my opinion. wsu wont let it happen

props to 3seconds, sports pyschic, and the rest. class just won out over the final 10:00. wright good, but not in uwm's league quite yet

Thanks Gman....

Game did play out how I thought.....UWM way too much talent & EXPERIENCE for WSU.

I would be cautious of WSU the rest of the way as teams are now ready for them & not taking them lightly at all.

Good Luck tomarrow....I will be waiting to see wha you got on tap

What was the deal with Wright State down 15, 58 seconds to go fouling and calling timeouts. Their coach was trying to get under Pearls skin. There was no need to prolong this game like Wright State coach was doing.
