Finally had a 2-0 day. Here we go for tonight:

South Carolina +5' 220/200
South Carolina ML 100/170
Miss St. -11 220/200 Tennessee has been blown away by everyone away from Thompson Boling Arena. No home game = trouble for this young team.

Good Luck to all!!!

Be CAREFUL, This is "the SYSTEM PLAY"

South Carolina is #25 in AP poll and #23 in coaches poll while Vandy is not ranked in the top 25 in either.....

therefore Vandy is the unranked favorite over a ranked visitor....

Yeah Homewrecker, that trend tends to worry me a bit. I was going to play it for more but decided, 2 units was enough.

Well, the system DOES lose! So maybe this will be a spot where it does. I will be on Vandy though as I have to stick with the system. GL to though, one of us will win on the game.

wrecker:

i know what you mean; however, this is a tricky play when it comes to the system.

keep in mind south carolina was not ranked at all in the preseason and only recently cracked into the bottom part of the top 25.

conversely, vandy was highly ranked in the preseason so they are a "well-known commodity".

great point gman...there have been cappers who have offered information about this system cooling off in the months of Jan, Feb, and March.....maybe this is an explanation why! Teams that start off ranked who struggle and as a result find themselves out of the rankings (but played very well while ranked early bringing themselves exposure) could be a defining reason why some have experience a change in the system as the season gets older.....

Personally, IMO I think that Vegas favors the unranked home team in these situations to pursuade money on the ranked favorite therefore making the unranked favorite home team more appealing to me. IMO, there thought process is that there is a great number of gamblers out there who don't do extensive capping but rather will look at only the rankings and will see a ranked team (in this case S.Caro #25 or #23) GETTING 5 points over an unranked team (Vanderbilt). In addition that same group of gamblers will tend to play the more high profile games (good for vegas that this group of people also tends to define high profile games as games with atleast ONE ranked team playing)....

Of coarse we (all of us at madjacks) knows better then the group of people I am referring to.....

I will do a write up on my opinion soon.

I like to use the Gold Sheet rankings to see how the line would be set by them at time of publication. They have it Vandy -6. May be dropped a point as Vandy has lost 3 of last 4, while the reverse is true for S Caro

Adding:
UCONN -14 220/200 Think they will bounce big against this V.Tech squad. If they can contain Matthews, then I'm thinking blowout city.

Good Luck to all!!!
