Carolina has outstanding offensive and defensive lines and they will control the line of scrimmage throughout the game wearing out the NE defense in the second hald with 2 healthy studs in backfield and outstanding runblocking O-line.

and most people on NE on this site seem to be from Mass, which makes me feel even better. I am telling you that Carolina is the play, and I will be putting my money(or my bookie's money) where my mouth is. Good luck.

Not that anyone is listening by the looks of this message board, BUT ARE YOU GUYS OUT OF YOUR MINDS?

NE has not faced a complete team like Carolina to this point.
yeah the Colts are awesome on offense, but there Defense is soft like a wet paper towel. And Dungy's gameplan licked my ass. He didn't start running the damn football until it was too late. I don't care what the Pats are ranked against the run, you can successfully run against this team, they are not the 2001 Ravens. Carolina has a big bad physical offensive line and two outstanding running backs. NE will be warn down. Brushci is banged up and Woody is put and it might matter. Belicheck is awesome, but Fox is no joke. Delholme is a winner. He will not crumble under pressure and make stupid mistakes. I think people are in La La Land when they think NE is some type of high powered offense that will blow out this Carolina Defense are you guys kidding me? Have you been watching this defense play. One early turnover by brady and NE and your 7 point cover will be very very difficult to come by. Yeah alot of past superbowls have been blowouts, but this is Carolina not some soft ass Oak raider team like last year. That game was a joke. Anybody who watched the Championship games should have been on TB. I almost shit myself when the line came out. TB goes into Philly, in my opinion the best team to that point last season, and whoops them. Meanwhile, thanks to numerous turnovers and miscues the Raiders beat the Titans at home, and then walk into the superbowl as a 3.5 favorite, WOW.

This year the Panthers completely physically dominate Dallas, who doesn't have alot of talent but is well coached and has a good D, then goes into St Louis and beats them up pretty much the whole game until the end in their own dome. And yes that St. Louis team had a much better O then NE, without a doubt. Then just buries the Eagles, who aren't as good as last year but still had a lot to prove and were up for the game until they became manhandled.

In the meantime, Ne squeaks one out against a Tenn team with a banged up McNAir(he was not 100%) and a piss poor running game led by half ass George in foxboro.
Then beat Colts thanks to Dungy's shit ass gameplan and Manning trying to do too much with 4 picks(Delholme won't try to do too much) in foxboro in the snow, colts have shit ass defense.

And now you tell me NE will blow out Carolina a team with an outstanding D, great gameplan, and QB who won't force the issue , dream on shit ball. Carolina + 7 all day.

I wonder if your eyes are clouded by the Buffalo snow, or the flashbacks of Bledsoe doing something stupid.

The most complete team? C'mon. You can punch holes in Carolina just as much as you can punch holes in all the other NFL teams.
(New England pummeled the Eagles as well, don't forget.)

The only team to do it consistently all year has been New England. Doesn't mean they are heads and shoulders above the rest, but the line is right.

Carolina backers are trying to make you think they have the best front 4 in frickin' history.

Best of luck to you.

When it all comes down to it, many of us bet with our hearts if we can swing it.

I am not betting with my heart, I am betting with my wallet. I am not kidding fellas, Carolina will cover if not win the game outright. They will have more success on offense than everyone thinks. Ne on the otherhand will not even sniff more the 30+ people are dreaming about.

I am just trying to sway others to make some loot on Carolina with my ranting and raving. I am set in stone with my pick and have been on a tear throughout the playoffs, so I am not listening to anyone else. I am just shocked that everyone is on NE like flys on shit. Is belicheck gonna suit up and play fellas? C'mon, this game is way closer than people are making it out to be. Don't be surprised if neither team scores more than 20 points, and don't be surprised if Carolina wins.

NE has not faced a complete team like Carolina to this point.

what about MIA? i tried to think back to when NE faced a GOOD run first decent passing squad with a solid DEF. MIA seemed the closest thing. they needed an extra quarter to settle it out in MIA, though when the 'phins visited a frigid gilette it was all NE defense.
so the pats can stop the run, of ricky williams at least, when they geared up to stop him and force fiedler to win. personally, i think delhomme is a better QB. clearly davis and foster prove to be better than williams--not individually--but as the tandem they are--i'll take'em. i liked CAR to win before the line was announced. i still like CAR to win, which then takes the spread out of play. i always hated takin an under, specially if takin the FAV in same game. as it is, i like the dog, even still for cheerin reasons alone --as well as SB's being decent scoring affairs, i'll take the OVER. all said and done: i like CAR to win. --a MA native. "NE has not faced a complete team like Carolina to this point" Dizzyton who has Carolina faced that is compareable to NE? They played in the NFC which imo is the weaker conferance. They played in the south division which benefited them. NE has played 9 teams with +10 wins this year. Tenn, Miami are very complete teams. Carolina is a team that if they cannot run th ball they will struggle. The pats will shut down the run and win the game

This season's team just wins the game....no flash (many times boring). They are pretty much clones of their coach. They are coming to Houston for a business trip. Bring the Lombardi trophy back to NE.

Locals here up to 7.5

Like the Pats on the money line...always respect your oppponent and I do like Carolina's sudden run in the playoffs. Just think that the experience factor on playing in the SB two years ago will ultimatley decide who performs to their maximum abilities.

These two weeks have been nerve racking as the countdown begins...GLTA Go Pats!

Panthers have been on a nice run, but was anyone really surprised when they took out St. Louis and Philly? These teams were soft and their game plans weak. The run ends SUNDAY.

What a dumbazz. The Panthers are the most complete team the Pats have faced all year? Do you even watch the game or do you just spew mindless banter for the fun of it? If you want to be technical about it (and not just use your own biased opinion) then both the Broncos and Cowboys are more complete and the stats back that up.

I love how these Panther backers come out of the woodwork when nobody in their right mind was even talking about this team even being a factor in the playoffs. Now all we hear about is the Panthers "1-2 punch" of Davis and Foster. Foster? You mean the guy who has run for all of 400 yards this year? Oh yeah and let's not forget that the Panthers have the greatest front 4 in the history of the NFL despite the fact that 10 teams defensed the run better (one of those teams being the Patriots)

I'm not going to say the Pats WILL cover. I think they will win and I think they will cover, but if you're going to start being a doaf with this "Listen to me I have all the answers and none of you people know sh*t" garbage then you're going to be ripe for the ripping if it doesn't go the way you are guaranteeing. Of course that's assuming you show up afterward.:thefinger

Whew....that was a grinder. The Panthers were certainly a handful and a worthy SB opponent. The Pats were exposed tonite in some areas but as the season came to a finale they just kept winning the games....each win the opposition would come out with the shoulda woulda coulda lines in the postgame lockeroom. Kasay will always be remembered in this game for giving Brady the chance to pull out another. Didn't really expect this game to have the lead changes and excitement. Amen for my money line pick...most friends I know got burnt with Pats and under.
