Use netscape for my home page and today it was taken over by some other site. Went to tools deleted the other site, put netscape back in for my home page and every thing was all set until I turned my computer off. When I put it back on the other site returned, need advice on how to get rid of this site and restore my home page.

Yeah I ran into this once too, I would search for that site in your registry.

run -> regedit
edit ->find

Search for that URL and delete anything it mentions, probably they stuck in a Default URL or some such crap with their site in it.

Sure, basically some of these really sneaky viruses or malicious code fragments will embed a URL in your registry as the default. So even though you change it in the Options, it will always reset once the browser closes. To see if this is the problem:

Go to the Start Menu, choose Run.
Type in regedit
Go to the Edit Menu, select find
Enter the URL of the site that it keeps resetting to (www.xxxx.com)
If you find an entry in your registry, delete the key it shows up in. When it finds something, right click on the item, and select 'delete key'

I had the same problem a couple months ago. Do a search for cw shredder
It'll remove the spyware that's causing your problem and reset your homepage. It works, and it's free.
