And no one talks about it. Why did Carolina call timeout with 1:45 to go? They were at the 15, so time was not a factor. All they were doing was ensuring that NE would have time on the clock in the event of a score.

IMO, a lot of mistakes by Fox. He was stubborn using Davis in the first 1/2, instead of using Foster for sweeps to tire out Washington and the rest of the interior linemen....screwed up going for 2 points, which could have forced NE to get a FG for a tie, not a win.

And so much for th vaulted defense of the Pats. Heard a lot of commenst how they compared to Da Bears of 1985...NOT

agreed, why foster only carried the ball 3 times is a mystery. several mental mistakes hurt a fabulous effort overall. experience did count in this one. brady's int was the only big mistake i saw from pats. that to was big, failed 2 pters, kick out of bounds.....

well, vinateri did miss 2 fg's that may have changed the game.

carolina " out foxed " in sb 38.

Did Fox call that timeout or Delhomme? I wasn't sure - but didn't like it one bit when it happened.

I guess they were thinking that they wanted every opportunity to get in that end zone, but giving Brady the ball with over a minute left is deadly. (Even worse when he gets the ball at the 40:rolleyes: ).

I thought this was going to big if the Pats drove down and scored - but never in the world thought that they'd kick it out of bounds and take the heat off this timeout.

Good pick up ST, I thought the same thing, but still do not know if Fox called in that TO.
