SportsLine.com wire reports

NEW YORK -- Suspended Ohio State running back Maurice Clarett was ruled eligible for the NFL draft Thursday by a federal judge who concluded that the league's rule violates antitrust laws.

U.S. District Judge Shira A. Scheindlin ordered the NFL to let Clarett enter April's draft.

And this is bad news for USC because even though I think it is too late for guys like Mike Williams, Matt Leinhart and Reggie Bush to come out this year, Bush and some of the other great young players could seek earlier entry than they otherwise could have. Darn it.

THe NFL never had a chance in this case. There only hope was to drag it out where Clarrett would become eligible.

As soon as you turn eighteen you will be allowed to enter the draft.

I know it sucks for all college FBall fans. The thought of Freshman going to the NFL is scary. But more than that is thought of a kid going straight from high school:eek:

I dont think we are there yet, but it is possible and I think its not a matter of when it will happen and not will it.

"the bunker"
the nfl is holding it`s breath

the nfl is holding it`s breath

because the next thing to get zapped may be the draft itself.....and if that happens, many sports will be in trouble....

2 things that will probably happen within the next 10 years...

1)the draft will be challenged in court..

2)the nfl will go pay per view...
