Soon to be out of the race. A blessing. I'll give him his due for geting many folks sign on to the political process. But he was a train wreck waiting to happen. Bush would have ate him a live.
In fact Bush will win period. But I do hope it's at least a good race. We need a good races for the American people to come out ahead. We dont need another screwed up one as last time.

As much as I disagree with Dean's politics, at least you know where he is coming from basically. Kerry on the other hand is all over the place, very dangerous man, he has no convictions. Changes like the wind at Augusta National...

whether you agree with his politics or not...

This post should impress upon many here how DJV isn't some totally crazed left-winger;)

(although his loyalty would be better spent elsewhere:tongue )

I got screwed big time. I had a $500 bet on Dean winning the democratic nomination. I put this bet in 4months ago. Boy did I get screwed. $500 to win $750, then 1-2 months ago Dean looks like a "lock" to win it. I am very disapointed in this. I was going to win huge money on DEAN, then have BUSH easily beat DEAN for the White House. My perfect scenario. Dammit. Screw you Dean, you had this thing locked up.

If you want a futures wager, bet on Bin Laden to be pulled
out and captured before the election in November.

Thats a lock there.

As soon as that happens George W wins.

for months bush has been constantly attacked by all of the democratic presidential nominees & their staff & the latest polls show that kerry has a slight edge.

kerry is opened to many attacks on his politics, ie, special interest groups for one. he has blasted bush for being obligated to special interest groups, but the record shows that kerry has benefitted more by special interest groups ( aig insurance co.?) than any other person in congress. another move that kerry will be attacked on is his voting to cut the defense budget after 9/11. these are just two examples, there are much more.

i'm not saying that bush is not open to criticism, but compared to kerry, i still say that the american people will still prefer bush & unless something dramatic happens bush should win by about 10%. i say 55%-45%

AR I think it will be close regardless of who gets nomination. They're going to get their standard 40% of popular vote from (the 90% of minorities and the die hards) regardless of the best possible outcome of economy and war in the following months.
The deciding vote will come from the centerists.

I hate to see Dean go as I was looking forward to him raking Kerry's past over the coals---I still think Edwards has shot as there will be LOTS of stuff on Kerry come to light shortly and Edwards has been been practising the Eddie Haskel "helping the little guy for years" and has that down pat in fact I think he is better with public than Slick especially when it comes to the "monetarily challenged". Clarke is history.
One of most interesting scenerios playing is if Kerry gets nomination, who will be running mate. You got Gep and Edwards both from south which he will need. Edwards has no place to go if not nominated except VP and Gep has jumped gun on him by backing Kerry before Edwards is nixed and can climb on bandwagon. lol

I think Bushes people have played it smart by not attacking any candidate till the time comes. So far they let them be their worst enemy. I like the silent approach--but the party challenging for presidency is always at huge disadvantage as they must air dirty laundry on those in their own party.
It will be interesting. I only hope that they bring the military history of Kerry to light. Surprised Clarke has not hit on it yet.

KOD, I'll bet you are a hell of a card player, sometimes your posts make me think you have your head up your ass 24/7, then other times you make more sense than most on the board:thinking:
You have this one nailed, ole GW has an ace up his sleeve this time.

You know what is scary though. I believe that they already
have him. Taking no chances with getting four more years in
the highest office in the land.

Good old american politics.

KOD I can only hope what your saying is not even close to being true. If it is even close. Then old GW should be horse wipped then hung as they did in the 1800. For all of us to watch.
I have a hunch if true it might back fire. The American people are not as dump as some think. Bin shoes up about early October could kill Bushes chances.

Bin Laden turning up could actually be bad for GW. Think about it. Part of his main platform is I will protect you from terrorists, the Dems are soft and weak. If he is caught some people might think the main threat is over(not true in my opinion) and think we don't need a strong President...

Sometimes I wonder about some of the things that are said here in the area of politics.

How can anyone in their right mind think Bin Laden is being held by us, what a joke. In this day and age of the type of media we have and with even the most classified info being leaked and you think this could be pulled off, amazing.

Bush haters will try and come up with anything to discredit him.

For our sakes we better hope he gets a 2nd term because if the pussys dems get in you can kiss national security goodbye and we will once again become the worlds lapdog, right back where clinton put us in the first place.

You have got to be kidding me. If we knew half the stuff
the goverment don't tell us we would be totally shocked.
The media is used as a tool to give the public the information
they want us to have. They can run in any direction.

When George W was asked point blank by Russert if he knew
where Bin Laden was, he hesitated, thought better of it, showed all the signs of classic lieing, then said ...no comment.

Has anyone noticed the deep line across George Ws forehead ?
It runs all the way across an is very noticable. I think he has been worrying too much.

Lets see if George W don't pull a rabbit out of the hat before election time.
