17 is a big number for wvu but you do have a few things going for you wvu knows to make the big east tourney they need a good showing and wins these next 3 straight home games, they are getting scoring from people who should of been at the top a year for them but were cold the first half now they seem to got the mind fart out of the way, also as a team they have picked up overall scoring, they are at home where they are hard to beat and play very well. st. johns has 4 walk ons dressing now and 3 grant scolarship players and 1 grant in aid player 8 guys it a very tuff go in thr big east.

Nothing would make wvu happier then starting off 3 game home stand with a nice dd win, also they are not taking st.johns lightly, it will be close with the high number but you should be ok.

good luck

I don't think WVU is capable of beating anybody by 17. Fletch is right, they do play well in Morgantown....but, my biggest concern is Daryl Hill...WVU is weak at the point and I really do not know if we have a defensive answer to his penetration. I'm not playing this game...but, I hope you hit it.

After watching the Johnnies play BC @ MSG this weekend I can honestly say I felt sorry for them. Those walk-ons were playing their hearts out, but it was just pitiful. I don't think St John's could beat some good High School teams right now. They are horrible. WVU by 20+.

WVU at home is tough. This team is learning they can play without Drew Schifino. That beaing said WVU has beaten this team once @MSG 73-64. That was with Elijah Ingram and company. BC just hammered St. Johns 88-61@ MSG, but Boston played with their A game and didn't know that St. Johns would be that bad. BC lost to WVU in Morgantown, confidence can sometimes bite you in the a$$.

School president Donald J. Harrington has had enough. He said he would recommend the elimination of the men's basketball program if the embarrassment continues.

IMO the red storm has quit on this season. I don't see 17 points as too much chalk to cover except WVU sees a Villanova team standing at the door on Saturday. Will the neers look past a team they have beaten once before, that lost a lot of key players. I think they will, I see WVU winning by at most 15. If they are up a lot the coach will rest his players geting ready for Nova.
Just My thoughs on it.

I wouldn't say that the players remaining have given up - they played very hard on Sunday, but are at a huge disadvantage. With all of the circumstances surround St John's, and since this is a league game, I would be concerned that teams will not look to run it up on the Red Storm for the rest of the year. WVU will win this game by double digits, but 17 is a nice chunk of points. I wouldn't be shocked to see St John's get a few backdoor covers down the stretch when they are facing such heavy chalk, because those walk ons are not going to lay down on their only chance to see real minutes, and their opponents may be digging deep into their benches late vs the Red Storm once the game is wrapped up. West Virginia get up 20 then winning the game something like 72 - 58 wouldn't shock me.

Nice job on your game, wvu played 10 men over 10 mins and 2 others, st. johns is a go against of 18 or less they just can't do it, they shot 32% from the field 23 beyond the arc and just are in trouble with 2 players left who are d1 players.

Wvu is not a great team they are a young team with a very good coach that had to start from ground up last year, they will be good and coach b will get them there, they are not a upper half big east team and ripped apart st johns they shot over 51% from the field and 43% from the arc, like i said they are a learning and young growing team who plays hard and are sound in their skills but very very young , and the fact is they are a bottom of the road big east team and you know i am wvu all the way, for them to tear apart st.johns like they did means anyone can and will get worse, 2nd half wvu subs scored at will against st,johns and put up 45 in the half, st.johns will fade and fade worse as year goes on, they don't have the players who are d1 players and no way you can run 8 men out there 3 nights a week and ask them to have their legs at the end of a game.

wvu did not even try to rub it in but you can't ask guys off the bench not to play hard, feel very bad for these young men because they have been put in this spot by 5 players who did not care at all about the team or the school. very sad and like i said if wvu can rip them apart and used bench over half of the game, then your top big east teams will do worse even though no coach wants to rub it in to much, but like i said you can't tell guys off the bench not to play and st.johns just can't have any legs under them by the 15 min mark of 2nd half not enough subs to run in and out.
