Reason: UTEP head coach Billy Gillespie has directed quite a turnaround in just his second season at El Paso. The Miners went 6-24 (3-15) last year but enter this game in Reno 18-4 (9-3). This guard-oriented team has played GREAT but this is NOT a good spot for them. Nevada is a PERFECT 11-0 at home (7-2 ATS), winning by an average of 16 ppg. 6-11 freshman center Nick Fazekas (12.7/7.3) along with outstanding do-everything forward Kirk Snyder (19.5) give the Wolf Pack a decided advantage up front while the solid backcourt of Thomas and Okeson matches up well with UTEP's excellent guard rotation. Back in mid-Jan, the Miners edged the Wolf Pack in El Paso (79-76) but will have NO SUCH LUCK HERE! Wolf Pack get another impressive home win here! WAC Game of the Year 10* Nevada
