I think the NCAA does not allow teams to have 12 man schedules anymore. NCAA also did not like all these kickoff classic games and I think they only kept a few of them. So now your only allowed to have 11 games max unless your involved in a kickoff classic. I guess this is all due to teams having too many games and not enough time for classroom work.
